Not user friendly for an 80 year old

I purchased this device for my mom and ran into trouble just trying to set it up. First I could not do it on line because her email address was still associated with her Splash account. I had to call in on 4 different occasions because the wait time for customer service was over 30 minutes each time. When I FINALLY got a person, they helped me set it up. We were able to pair it with her iPhone (at least it said it was paired) but we were never able to get a test call through. Then I was told to take the battery out to reset the device. I am 60 and could not get the battery back off to take the battery out! I tried and tried and even got a coin and damaged the back a little but still couldn't get it off. This battery has to be replaced every 6 months. Finally, I got so frustrated, I told them to cancel the account and now I am out $49 and my mom still doesn't have a useable device.

Lively Wearable®

The Lively Wearable® works well but, I had a visit of my local fire department EMT's for a call from 5?. I had know idea why they were at the door. I accidentally drop my lanyard on my bed and it was less than two feet. If this is why the EMT's come it was three to four hours later. This is NOT A GOOD response time. My wife and I have got several calls from 5? for calls we can justify. This is not good. Last night I was sitting in my recliner and got a call from 5?. The only reason I can come up with is that I set down to fast with my lanyard.
In my personable opinion a lanyard design is not a good idea for around your neck.

Safe set of mind

Wearing my lively wearable makes me feel safe because I live alone. With my lively wearable I don’t feel alone because if god forbid something happens to me I don’t have to panic. I like the features on the app too with the adventures and points. I tell my neighbors about when they tell me life alerts cost a lot. Lively wearable doesn’t. It’s affordable and worth it. Things happen that sometimes you can’t control. Having my lively wearable is great because it automatically picks up if you fall
