Troubleshooting Points

What happens to my points if I make a return?

Any points you have earned on a purchase from a Shop Your Way program will be deducted from your account if you return the merchandise from your purchase.

Some Rewards Partners may not allow returns. You should check each individual Rewards Partner’s return policy carefully prior to making a purchase.

If you used points from your "current balance" (base or bonus) to pay for the item that is returned, you should receive the points back to your account.

If the points used had been bonus points with a limited redemption timeframe (i.e. 90 days), the points that are refunded to you may reflect that same redemption timeframe (i.e. 90 days).

Any transaction (purchase or return) can take up to 30 days to post to your account. However, most in-store returns (of an in-store purchase) post the same day and most returns of online orders will post within 7-10 days.

Retrieving Missing Points

Points are updated on a daily basis and can take up to 7 – 10 days to appear online or at the register.
If you recently bought something online and didn't use your account to get Points for it, there is an easy fix – you can still get them!

If you are missing points from a Sears or Kmart transaction, have filled out the form and waited 10 days:

Can’t see your points balance?

In order to manage your points online, you must be logged in to Shop Your Way. Click HERE To log in or sign up! 

If you signed up for a Shop Your Way account in a store and would like create an account on, after you "Create an Account", You will be asked if you are an existing member. Click "yes" and you will need to provide the phone number you provided in store to activate your account.
