Home and Garden 6 person tub is a very nice tub.

The delivery was on time and no real problems. Had my electrician lined up for the same day it arrived. We received it the morning and was in it that evening. Everybody in my house loves it and we are very happy that we bought it. Largest online purchase we have made and well worth it. Can't find one thing bad to say. Thanks alot!!

Home and Spa Tub

OMG! What a piece of junk. Poor quality. Interior framing untreated. One piece was loose. Redwood shell exterior has cracks in several places. Very brittle. Electric hookup box is loose and wobbly. I will have to rebuild this spa to make it useable. Delivery was a joke. Had to grease the palm ($60, he wanted $100) of delivery guys to get it put where I needed it, otherwise it would be dropped in driveway. Very cheaply made, not worth the money and I just learned I cannot return it. I will follow up after I get a reply from Sears Customer service.

heater catches on fire

|

I bought this hot tube through Sears 3 years ago and a few days ago the heater over heated while my family and I were sleeping and it burned the entire frame and components down to the ash. The entire hot tub is trashed and the customer service at laguna bay were no help at all. Save your money and never buy a hot tub from this company. The hot tub is very poor quality and as I found out can be very dangerouse, thank god it did not burn my house down. I will never do business with these people ever again. it was a waste of $5,000.00

Read before you buy....

I bought this spa on 4/13/14. It arrived on 4/30/14, but I had an issue with my patio being completed before I could even install it and plug it in. On 7/2/14 we got the patio done and we finally were able to turn on the hot tub for the first time. (Which stunk because the warranty starts the day the tub arrives) The hot tub worked great until 7/20/14 when we first started getting heater problems (error codes on the control panel) I called Laguna Bay and told them about my heater errors. I spoke to Billy (there are only 2 or 3 people in that office) he told me they had a known history of bad heaters, and that he would send me a new one and cover the labor for the installation. Ok great...I thought. No problem. He sent me another heater which I had installed on 8/6/14. (I was not there during the install because the installer came while I was at work so I could not inspect the malfunctioning heater) Hot tub was back and running and worked great....for a few weeks. On 9/7/14 we saw that again we were having the same heater issues. I once again call Laguna Bay and explain to them the same issue I had before. Billy tells me to take pictures of my electrical wiring and email it to him. I do so. Billy tells me that I don't have it wired together correctly, and that he is surprised it is even running with that wiring setup. I have Billy speak to my electrician and Billy threatens to void my warranty if its not done how the manual instructs the wiring to be done. We say fine, we change the entire setup and the wiring is now to their liking and specifications. Now we try to turn on the hot tub and it immediately trips the breaker. We UNPLUG 3 connectivity wires on the "Made in China" heater that is connected to the "brain" of the hot tub and the tub turns on but does not heat. So I call Laguna Spa back and talk to Billy again and tell him that this is going on. He sends me a new heater (which he claimed was a more "beefed up" version- no idea what even means) which arrives on 9/29/14. I have the new heater installed on 10/8/14. Upon inspecting the malfunctioning heater we removed, we found there was water inside the electrical element of the heater (which caused the sudden tripping). The water was inside an area where electrical wiring and circuit boards were suppose to be waterfree. I have been emailing with Laguna Bay Spas for weeks now trying to get them to reimburse the labor involved, but they say my 90 day warranty has expired. My response is that they have been sending me bad heaters and never solved the problem the original problem that was happening while I was under their 90 day labor warranty. They will not listen or even care to fix a problem that left their factory with because my 90 days are up.

STOP! DO NOT PURCHASE HOME AND GARDEN 6 PERSON HOT TUB! POORLY MADE ITEM!

|

We purchased 80 Jet 6 person Home and Garden Hot Tub/Spa from Sears. Nine months later it does NOT Work! I've called Sears and can not get any assistance. This item is very poorly made and for the money I would not recommend purchasing a hot tub online or over the phone. Sears will sale this item but if you have an issue you will be stuck with no assistance!
