The vac is great, has wonderful power, picks up the most miniscule articles. I do have one problem that I hope someone can address. The cord stays hot long after use. Is this usual.
Buy one yesterday as soon as you started using it turned off in less than 15 minutes and it's a shame it has good accessories and good power
I replaced my 20 year old Hoover with this beauty. I wanted something with great suction for both bedroom carpeting and area rugs over wood floors. My area rugs shed a bit and this machine gets them really cleaned up. Always a fan of Hoover!
I really like my Hoover WindTunnel 3 High Performance Pet Bagless Upright Vacuum. The suction is great! By simply stepping on the lever on the top of the vacuum you can turn the rollers on or of making it very easy to push and clean. The bagless canister is easy to empty and the HEPA filter is easy to clean. I especially like all of the different accessories. My favorite is the pet turbo tool. It picks up all of the dirt and pet hair on my stairs and also off of my furniture with ease. I like that I can have it plugged in down stairs and I am able to use it upstairs since the cord is extra long at 40 feet. The vacuum itself is very powerful and removes all of the dirt and pet hair off of my carpet and wood floors. This is by far one of the best vacuum cleaners that I have owned.
My old favorite vac finally died so off to find a new one. I decided on the Wind Tunnel high performance pet mainly for the attachments, the pivoting dust tool and telescoping extension wand. Both would be handy for my higher ceilings and the top of furniture. So I've used the vac for a few weeks now, great suction, cleans the dog hair off the carpets. But the telescoping wand fully extended is shorter than the wand on my old vac, I can't reach the corners of my lower ceilings much less the higher ones. The pivoting dust tool, great idea, epic fail. It won't stay in the position I put it, keeps folding back to flat or worse bends backwards, useless. Then the dusting tool and crevice tool don't stay on the wand well, One of them fell off and fell behind a big piece of furniture that I can't move, took some work to get it back and they have both fallen off since even though I really push them onto the wand tightly.
Did anyone at Hoover actually test these things to see how they worked? A really test in a home by a consumer? Improve those items and I'd give this vac a 5 star rating.
I’ve had vacuums in the past that stopped working after a few months. This one is still going strong after a year. It works great. I also love the retractable cord.
