It was fairly easy to put together. Very sturdy. The mattress is very comfortable for sleeping and sitting. Easy to convert into a bed, a liitle harder to put back in sit up positon with the mattress on. The mattress does not slide off in sitting position like other futons. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Firstly, it was hard to convert from a bed to couch. That wasn't such a big deal as long as someone was there to help convert it. Secondly, the bed had no support in front when turned to a bed, that it would fall if you weren't laying on the back half which seemed pointless only using half the bed (might as well keep it a couch). After about 2 months had to begin tightening the bolts over and over because it kept coming loose and when didn't tighten it quick enough a wood piece broke off on the other frame. Not even the side with the loose bolt! After the 4th month, and using something else to hold the bed in back so bolts had more support, the front "metal" frame broke in half. The mattress is great! When taking the bed apart one bolt was stuck so since the "metal" was so flimsy, decided to break that instead. Way easier than wrestling with a couple screws. Keep in mind I am a 25yr old female, and my preteen brother had no struggle breaking metals on this bed either.
Zipper ripped and cover doesn't come off bc buttons are sewn into fabric.
This futon is so comfortable and easy to set up. My son set it up in about 20 minutes.
Great futon/mattress for the price. Easy to assemble.
Overall not bad but had for 10 months and the cover is stapled into the mattress both sides have ripped had to order a new cover the staples are silly.
For the longest time I've had trouble putting the futon back up. Now I don't!!! Here is what I do. I grab the mattress to pull it forward and use my other hand to push the futon back. Easy peasy.
