I use this to cut my 2.5 acre yard and it does a great job, its quick, easy to use and starts up every time. Its quick and Only thing I am not crazy about is changing the oil and filter. Wish Husqvarna would have made a drain plug underneath, or extended the drain past the frame. Same with the filter....
the first use ended with broken plastic parts on engine cover. I should of taken it back right then !! One year later, the front wheel bearing burned out and of course there is no parts lists or even a service manual to reference. THERE IS NO WAY THAT I WILL EVER RECOMMEND A HUSQVARNA TO ANYONE. This mower replaces a 25 year old unit that was made up of 2 mowers [ one of which caught fire and burned ]. kind of a Red Green style mower. The engine just gave up. One last thing, it is very tippy and has no traction.
I've literally cleared my property and ran over trees 1-2 inch in diameter with this and never had the first problem. I lost a bottom plate on the deck from running over trees and clearing out 6' high sections but that's it. I've had it over 2 years now and have had no complaints at all. I bought the cheapest V Twin I could find and it's been one of the best mowers I've had. I've pulled a small utility trailer with it full of concrete and never had any issues with power. I've lost traction in sandy areas but that's expected.
I bought this based on brand name and reviews. It ran well for the first part of of the first summer, though its blades seem to get damaged very easily. I used it with a snow blade for the winter and now in its second summer the transmission has gone and the belt driving the blades falls off every time you stop.
They replaced the transmission and returned the tractor - it didn't work
They mended their first repair - it still didn't work.
At time of writing I am waiting for the 3rd return of the tractor. I suspect it will work for a day or so!
With only 60 hours on the clock this shouldn't be so bad. You shouldn't have to return a tractor 3 times to get it to drive forward. I have a 10 year old tractor from a well known rival that has been saving me since this new machine just is too fragile for the real world. I like Husqvarna as a brand - but this has left me wondering if they actually are the "quality" brand I believed there were or have "cheapened" their products to the degree they are too fragile. Either way I would keep away from the CVT transmission - YTA models - as this seems to have been my mistake.
I bought this mower in March and it was amazing.Very powerful engine and 46" cutting deck makes cutting grass easy. The Hydro trans is great! better then older tractors with a gear drive.
Bought the YTA22V46 as my First riding mower, works great on my flat part of my property but i have about a 1/4 section that has a slight 4 to 5 degree incline and it loses traction easy. have had to bounce on the spinning wheel to keep it moving, but this burns the grass there. I was disappointed to find this 46" mower did not have a locking differential. This is the only fault I have experienced with this machine. For the price I would have expected the locking differential, and did not do my homework good enough or I would have passed this up for the Yellow Green Model that I was tossed between buying. Mainly bought this as I have Husqvarna Chain Saws and Weed Eaters that have been trouble free. Just wish it had the locking differential.
This is 1 tough machine. Mows great and turns on a Dime.
