I bought this pool for ughters b day party, set it up w/o knowing i should have put pavers under the legs. after the kids splashed so much the legs started to sink in the mudd. Lesson learned. I had to drain it to get the pavers under the feet. Remember if you set it on grass, dirt or gravel its gonna sink. long story short, i installed the pavers and payed attention to how level the top rails of the pool are (very important). once this was all done, refilled the pool, like magic its now perfect, level and lots of fun. By the way, i used the krystal clear salt water system i had from the last two intex pools. it's a must for low maint. clean clear water.......love the saltwater. bottom line, its a great pool for the money($579), set it up right the first time and you will have lots of fun. only thing is pool should come with a skimmer kit but doesnt. I used my old one from older intex i had. pool has two intakes to draw water into filter and you must close one when vaccuming the pool. it's all workable and good value. I have.had it up for 3 months no problems, but i did upgrade to the intex 2500 gph cartridge filter for auch faster flow........seems to work better with the salt water system. Sand filter works ok too, just my preference. ladder could be a better one, does the job but i will shop for a good sturdy one next.
We got this pool and then went to work on the back yard to remove sod and level the ground before setting it up. We put down a vapor barrier and then covered the ground with indoor outdoor carpet to give the bottom of the pool a thicker ground barrier. we filled the pool a few inches and smoothed out the wrinkles and then added about a foot of water and noticed water coming out from under the pool. I wonder if the ground cover supplied by Intex is designed to let the water leak into the ground so you don't see it. I will be calling Intex on Monday to see what to do. It took a very long time to level the ground and get the support under the sides. My rating may be higher depending on how Intex handles this issue. 90 minutes set up is a big fat lie.
This pool survived hurricane Michael. So as far as durability I'd say amazing. I did upgrade the pump to the 2500 gallon one and added the saltwater system. Been a great pool, the kids love it and it didn't cost me a fortune. Solid work intex.
This is a good quality pool for the money. Next time I will upgrade to the bigger pool
