I bought both the 400 thread ct and the 600 thread ct Jaclyn Smith sheets. I ordered the Ivory in the 400 thread ct and the white and papyrus in the 600 thread ct. These are the best sheets I have ever owned and I am fussy with sheets. They have a nice weight to them, they are not see through and they wash beautifully with no pilling and no wrinkles. I wash the sheets in warm water and I put them in the dryer on normal temperature and take them out when they are done. Leaving anything in the dryer for a long time after the cycle is done will wrinkle anything. I can't use any fabric softeners so I put a 1/2 to 1 cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle. The vinegar acts as a fabric softener. I know some people say the sheets are stiff but sometimes you have to wash them several times to get them really soft. Also depends on how hard your water is and what type of detergent you use. All I can say is that I am very happy with my 3 sets I ordered. Also I waited for them to go on sale plus with coupons, reward points and ************* I couldn't pass up the price especially when I see how much sheets are these days and the more expensive ones don't even match up to the high quality of Jaclyn Smiths. Some people complain about pilling. Wash your sheets by themselves and not with any other clothing or linens. Also using vinegar in your rinse cycles will make all your clothing soft and lint free. Thank you Sears/Kmart for carrying Jaclyn Smith sheets and the sales you have.
These say in the description that these are Traditional Cotton. What was sent was cotton Sateen. I purposely stayed away from the sateen, because they do not stay on the bed well and constantly slip off. Also I ordered Tourmaline and on the site the color is a type of green. What was sent was baby blue. Be aware what you order will not be what you get. The only thing that was as describe was 400 count and the brand. Also forget trying to contact them that they sent the wrong thing. I searched for 2 hours to find a phone number and there was know one available for chat even though it was within their hours.
Three hours of bullcrap and you up and cancel my order without a reason why!
These sheet sets are very comfortable at the price. Highly recommend. I got a great deal on clearance last time and bought them for my entire house!
Cotton sheets are tricky little things but are worth it in the long run. First thing to do when you purchase these sheets is wash them in lukewarm water and baking soda. This gets rid of the processing chemicals that make them feel scratchy. Add vinegar to the rinse cycle. Wash again, but this time add detergent along with the baking soda. Rinse with more vinegar and add some softener. For the first few times they will need some pressing but after the initial break in period, they will become your favorite sheets, soft, silky and breathable. I admit, I was discouraged when I washed my first set and cursed the wrinkles but when I tried the method told to me by a friend, I was so pleased with the results that I bought four more sets. Great value for the price.
Shrunk with one washing. Not very good quality. Very disappointing.
well made - fits well - comfortable to sleep on
