I bought the Kenmore 6 ft. Snap-Lock Flexible Pipe for my dryer. It is a nice one piece alternative to fabricating a lot of smaller pieces together. It says it takes 6 inches of pipe to complete a 90 degree turn, but I would argue it takes 9 inches. Note that a clamp is still needed to secure the pipe to the dryer, and to the wall, and that those clamps are not included.
Might have been more useful covering the Thanksgiving turkey. Trying to "stretch" this stuff and bend it to fit the opening without tearing it is almost impossible. Might work if it is to go in a straight line, so to speak. For me it was a complete waste of time and money.
The flexible pipe itself is great. My issue is that Sears sells the dryer without obviously-needed accessories like this pipe plus the "knee" attachments AND power cord! The purchaser gets "nickled-and-dimed" with an additional $50 or more in necessary accessories that are not supplied with your dryer purchase.
I was told I needed this new for the new dryer. I had the same piece from the old dryer. Don’t know why I had to have this!
