I purchased this vacuum at Christmas time 2017. I am disappointed in the performance, but I am more disappointed in Kenmore and how it was made.I have had Sears Kenmore vacuums in my home for many years, and the vacuums have always performed wonderfully. Not this time. The suction is not good with either vacuum head. The wand keeps falling off of the hose attachment that I have duct taped it to stay on. The previous vacuum I had, it had a button that went in to a hole in the wand to secure it, there is a plugged hole on this wand. The biggest problem with this vacuum is trying to empty the canister. You need a couple of hands to hold the filter "attached" to the canister open to empty the canister, which is awkward to hold open. The filter is a pleated accordian type paper that has a part to zip across the pleats to get the dirt out, and there is a small brush to brush the pleats.
I have had three Kenmore canister vacuums over the years. When it was time for a new vacuum I tried two other brands and was very disappointed with the flimsy construction. I was so please when Kenmore came out with the bagless canister model. Good performance and reliability I am on number 4.
I have low and high spots on my carpet does not glide well , otherwise ok
