Plenty of Storage CapacityThis Kenmore chest freezer has 7.2 cu. ft. of interior storage space, perfect for loading in bulk frozen foods, bags of fruit, sweet treats, bulk meat and more. No need to overload the kitchen freezer just to cut down on grocery store trips.
Grab What You NeedStack up pre-made meals, like casseroles and lasagnas, right next to bags of frozen bulk foods. A removable storage basket makes it easy to reach in and grab non-stackable items or foods that you and the family use more often.
Easy Temp ControlA small exterior temperature control knob lets you optimize the interior freezer temperature with a simple twist. The defrost drain makes it easy to get water out of the freezer so you won’t have to strain to reach the bottom of the freezer.
Perfect for the FamilyPut this freezer in the garage, basement or even a pantry. Stash fresh meat from hunting season, bulk groceries and pre-made casseroles for potlucks...
It is just me and my husband, so we don't need a lot of extra freezer space, however, our side-by-side fridge/freezer doesn't allow a lot of freezer space and does not accommodate "stocking up" when there are sales, or allow storage for items such as turkeys or hams. This 7 cubic foot freezer is perfect! I had one before that was the exact same size, so I knew exactly what I wanted/needed when I had to replace my other one. This is perfect for a small family of 2-4. It doesn't take up much space and allows you to stock up on the good sales when they happen, so in the leaner months you don't have to worry about the heavy expense of meat purchases for the grocery bill. It has a very accurate temperature adjustment and a rack for smaller items. Everyone should get one of these small chest freezers! Well worth the money and when you can get them on sale for $80 off like I did, it is a steal!
We bought this freezer in Dec. 2013. It lasted 1 1/2 years and stopped working. And every time there was a little 5-second electrical outage, the thing would shut off and stay off until it was unplugged and reset. If this happens when you're sleeping or out of town, you're out of luck. We lost 3 freezers full of food. A Sears appliance tech told me that many of these chest freezers have the same issue. I realize that the price is low, but really??!!! Do not buy this. I remember when Kenmore was a good brand.
This died on me 25 days before my warranty was up. I spent 2 weeks trying to talk to them about getting it fixed. They ran me around so much that I gave up. It is no wonder they are closing stores at an alarmingly fast rate. Kenmore doesn't last long anymore and Sears or K-Mart do not honor these so called warranties. I wasted my hundreds of dollars, but I will last longer than they will. So I guess I get the last laugh?
broke after only 11 months this has never happened with any kenmore appliances I have owned over 40 yrs.
