Great product! Price is right.

We bought this to replace a 12 year old fridgidaire. I was scheduled for surgery 2 days after so we needed a dishwasher that would clean without pre-washing anything. After reading other reviews and following some suggestions, like adding old machine insulation and running a cycle with rinse aide. All suggestions worked great super quiet and clean clean clean and dry dishes. No rinsing first too, if I don't want to scrape I don't have to either. Since I don't wash until full I just run the rinse cycle to assist the wash. But I don't necessarily need to do that either. The machine performs as promised and I have stress free recovery.

Can't recommend this dishwasher

Pros: Price, looks nice, easy to use display, quiet, digital timer letting you know when wash will be finished. Cons: Doesn't dry well (most items remain wet after dry cycle even when using drying boosters), 1 hour wash doesn't wash well (leaves small food residue and stains), no button or latch to open or close door (have to snap door shut and pull hard to open, it seems like it might break after opening and closing door a lot), trays don't seem to hold as much dishware as my former dishwasher. Installation Notes: Dishwasher water intake is 3/4 inch so you will need a dishwasher swivel elbow fitting with compression (3/8" to 3/4") that is not included in the box.  3/31/17 Edit: After using this dishwasher for over three months and can say that I can't recommend it at all.

We bought a new house with this dishwasher, it has leaked since the day it was installed, we've had 7 technicians "fix" and it is still leaking. Dealing with customer service and getting this resolved has been an absolute nightmare!!!! Hours waiting on technicians, hours on the phone with "Customer Service " only to get the run around or get disconnected.
Do not buy a Sears/Kenmore appliance, dealing with them is horrible. No wonder they are going out of business......WAKE UP Sears! your competitors are so much better. BTW you at one time had a great reputation, what happen? Again do not buy a Sears product, they are not standing behind their product.

Developed a water leak in 3 years after purchase

|

Disappointed. I bought this washer 3 years ago. It work great for 3 years . The dishes came out super clean and was really a great buy at 400.$ it has a lot of jets and the ones on the back wall of the dishwasher do a great job. I notice our bottom cabinets had water damage and our wood was warping.. So I started to investigate and found the dishwasher was leaking from the bottom. It has been leaking. Lucky ,I am a fairly handy person. After a bit of research ,I found the leak . It was leaking from a washer on the direct drive motor. So I had to remove the dishwasher and I replaced the 10$ washer. I reinstalled the washer and back to working normal.
If you had to have a repair man fix this ; about 350$.
A dishwasher should last longer than 3 years before first repair. We only ran 4 loads of dishes a week.( small family of 3).

Not pleased with purchase.

I am not satisfied with my recent dishwasher purchase from sears. I selected the model specifically for its heated dry feature which worked quite well in the previous kenmore model that I had. It’s mote like a heated spray cycle at the end...they are soaking wet.
