Excellent Replacement Dishwasher

The Kenmore dishwasher was the best replacement I found for the price. It is amazingly quiet. The water gets extremely hot and the dishes come out the cleanest I have ever seen. It didn't take too long to install either.

Nylon Racks?

One of the main reasons I bought model 12339 was for the nylon racks specified in the description. However, I checked the racks with a magnet upon receipt and found that they are the standard coated wire racks that rust though in a short amount of time. I am very disappointed.

Not a good brand at all

|

Reading over the comments, it seems as though this model has the same issues as mine. Started having issues just about 10 months from purchase-the dishes were coming out of the dishwasher not cleaned. Tech thought the bottom motor needed to be replaced. When the part was received, the next tech said that "they" don't replace one motor-they must replace both. So, it took another week before the 2nd motor was received and installed. A few months later the computer needed to be replaced as the dishwasher was stuck in a drain cycle and wouldn't shut off. I was ensured after this point that essentially with all the new parts, I had a brand new dishwasher. Imagine my surprise when the dishes were not getting clean again, about 2 months after the motors were replaced. Made another service call. The tech who came over suggested that we need to run hot water in the sink first, since it takes a few minutes to warm up (ok, I understand that) and that I must run a cleaning cycle once a month with bleach along with taking the arm (that shoots water) out and clean it out about every few weeks. With all of this machinations, I might as well hand wash my dishes! I am tired of washing dishes 3 times each load-we rinse while loading, then turn on the dishwasher, then we have to hand wash all of the dishes as we unload! All I can say is thank goodness we bought an extended warranty-so there was no charge for each service visit! Our only saving grace to this headache and nightmare!

Didn't know "smart" meant it could be controlled by a smart phone. Who would use a phone to wash dishes? And who would turn on an appliance from remote when they are not home? Not interested in playing with my devices--I have a household and business to run. There were no instructions how to use the appliance without the use of a smart phone, but finally figured out that the unit had to be open to operate the buttons.

Disappointed!

This is the worst dishwasher we have ever had! So sorry we bought this. We bought it about 1 1/2 years ago and it has never cleaned properly. We always rinse our dishes clean before putting them in the dishwasher. They always come out with scum on them. Just about ruined our silverware and dishes. We have tried many different soap types from liquid to powder to the little packs. We tried different brands. We tried running the hot water in the sink before starting the dishwasher. We tried doing smaller loads. Nothing works. We recently gave up and do our dishes by hand where we know they are clean. Taking a while to scrub all that scum off!
