Great dishwasher

Previously had another brand with stainless steel tub. Bought this one due to very sturdy door handle / latch design and well designed control panel. Very quiet plastic tub, walk two feet away and you cant even hear the trickle of water against door or the motor. 1 hour cycle combined with heated drying is what we use and it does a great job.

Broke down right after warranty expired

I liked the dishwasher at first, but right after the warranty expired I had a shorted motor with repairs costing as much as I originally payed for the new machine. A shorted motor? That's got to be a quality defect - the motors should be designed to last for a lot longer! Sears would not help me out - so I won't be buying any more Kenmore products. Can't believe I have to go buy ANOTHER dishwasher after just getting this one last year. Very disappointed in this brand now. :(

Do not purchase!

I purchased this product 3 years ago and had problems within the first year which I should have taken advantage of the warranty, but didn't. Shame on me.
The dishwasher requires me to rinse in the sink after every wash due to remaining soap residue. I have mold growing all over the inside which requires a bleach cleaning once a week which still doesn't remove all the mold. Disgusting! And the heating/drying element has never worked properly and large amounts of water remain. This dishwasher can run up to 4 hours! Really? Plus the lining has been broken and needs replacing after the first year of service. I just called my appliance warranty to replace, finally!!! My parents always bought Kenmore products but if I do not hear a response from this review, I will never buy another Kenmore again. Sorry, guys, but stay away from this product!!

Round 2

Owned its predecessor (almost exactly the same washer except for some subtle differences with the controls) and was pleased with it for the first couple years. However, in the third year the drying feature quit on us, and beginning on the 4th year the interior plastics began to deteriorate quickly. We finally gave in and replaced it with this new version. Cleans well and it's quiet. Drying feature isn't great but that's my experience will all plastic tub models (verses stainless). We have little ones so we operate the appliance at least 1x per day and often we run twice. It definitely get used so for under 350 bucks (with coupon code) I'll be happy if I get 4 years out of this one too. We will see...

Very disappointed.

This dishwasher gets the dishes clean however, it does Not Dry them! I really am not happy with it for this reason and the wash settings run in excess of over 3 hours! There is only two options for shorter wash and forget it if you want your dishes to come out dry.

Black Dishwasher

It's a little noisy while in the washing cycle. Not a huge fan of how the silverware holder seems like it's cheaply made.  We Iike how the controls are on the top of the dishwasher makes the front look neat and clean

bought this in Jan is May 4, 2016 and it is toast! Totally broken...I rinse dishes off before loading them as well....ALSO the drying feature never was great either...had puddles of water left on the dishes after each cycle. I wish they made things like they used to. :(
