I compared this dishwasher with Miele products, and found many of the same features but at a much lower price. Love the 3rd shelf. Amazing how quiet and the sparkle on the dishes. Only wish extended warranty was a little cheaper. Overall, highly recommend.
I loved the look & layout of this dishwasher... after I got it, I noticed that even though I had it on High Temp Wash & Heated Dry it still was doing nothing to dry the dishes. Followed the instructions and turned up the Jet-Dry dispenser to the highest level. STILL NOT DRYING. I had FOUR service visits... The dishwasher DOES NOT have a fan to get rid of steam during dry cycle. It also DOES NOT heat the dish water to required temp on High Temp Wash setting! I can't get Sears to stand behind their product! They won't do anything! DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. The ONLY way I can get some drying is if I set it to; High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, and Heated Dry.... but the cycle takes ALMOST 4 HOURS! This dishwasher, while pretty, is DYSFUNCTIONAL
Wash arms would not run during the wash and rinse cycles so got service tech to look at it. He determined the washer was defective because the control board was not sending signal to the motor that sprays the water. So my only experience with the dishwasher itself so far is that I got a brand new defective washer. The real reason for the low rating, is due to how the replacement of the defective dishwasher has been going so far. Service tech called for me and got case # and authorization # for me. Service tech said since I ordered online but did in store pick up that I would need to bring the defective dishwasher back to a store with my case # and authorization # to do an exchange. I called several Sears in the area and found one after 2-3 hours that had one in stock. While on the phone with them, I had them check the authorization # to make sure we can do the exchange since the store is 1.25 hours drive for me. He called me back after he called to check and said everything was good except they wouldn't tell him how much money they authorized and said to come to the store. I got to the store and the first thing the sales person told me was that he had blown up on them big over the phone and hung up on them since they wouldn't give him an amount of money authorized for replacing the defective machine. We were going to just do a swap of the exact same make, model, and features, so I didn't think amount mattered. Sales person checked my case online and found that the case had been closed. We were both confused by this so he had me call the service #. They weren't able to explain how the case was resolved or why the case had been closed, but after about 1 hours on the phone, they said they can reopen the case and have a new washer delivered to my house and take the defective one away. I asked can't I just do the exchange in the store I'm already at and they said they could not do that. After waiting another half hour on the phone with them, they got back to me and said that it will be delivered in 2 weeks and that I need to bring the defective dishwasher home with me and that I would get an e-mail confirmation. So I wasted my entire day finding and going to a store to do an exchange I was told to do by the service tech. ~60 hours later, I still have not seen a confirmation e-mail for the replacement dishwasher.
We purchased this dishwasher in November of 2017. It didn’t last us a year... computer board went out and water doesn’t fill the tub. We are still waiting after 3 weeks and 3 repairmen for it to get repaired. From wrong parts being ordered to back orders of other parts, this entire experience with Sears has been a NIGHTMARE! Customer service center gives a rip about our consistently waiting for it to get repaired. “We are sorry” is all they will tell you with no results or compensation. DON’T BUY FROM SEARS!! They really don’t care if you wait two weeks or two months for repairs EVEN IF YOU ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!
So disappointed in this dishwasher. I am finding myself with a dishwasher were the top rack items are half cleaned. My dishwasher this replaced did a better job and it was 9 years old. Sad part I read the reviews and consumer reports reviews which had it as one of the best. I am finding more and more consumer report review to be useless. Now I got figure what is wrong with this dishwasher.
I am very happy with this dishwasher. My other Kenmore was very quiet and so is this one. Cleaning is terrific.
Ordered online, was delivered but was told to call for installation... separate from $$$ delivery. Online ordering didnt prompt that installation is a SEPARATE service and purchased separately. Stuck with old dishwasher AND NIB dishwasher, while being transferred from Sears customer service, department to department for 45 minutes. Field tech charging $$$ for install, . Will not order dishwashers from Sears ever again.
