I have purchased two of these within the past year, one for the infants room at the daycare and another for the office at one of the rental properties. Neither of them had room for a full size one or really even the need. The one for the infants room was purchased in an effort to help keep bottles, dishes and Sippy cups cleaner in the baby room. The one purchased for the office was just so that we didn't have to handwash dishes whenever we used dishes in meetings. So neither of the dishwashers needed to be very big. Needless to say I was very happy when I found this Kenmore portable dishwasher. It was the perfect size and even better the perfect price for what I was looking for. This would be a good purchase for a smaller space, a class room or a single person who didn't need that much space in a dishwasher. It holds a surprising amount for how small it is, but it's not going to stand up to people who have a lot of dishes or need to run in multiple times a day. Great dishwasher just not for big families.
Had 1 year of service call after service call, use it about every 4 or 5 days, had problems with rack, the rail the rack rides on, gasket needed to be trimmed was too big for bottom rack to clear opening to close, top rack broke nneded to be replaced, hoses and cord had to be replaced now it leaks, sears being difficult they don't want to live up to sales pitches that within 1 year of recurring problems they will replace appliances, too many stipulations on their part make it seem they will never replace any item I may sue them, I will NEVER CONSIDER SEARS FOR ANYTHING
I love this product. So easy to hook up and use. Super quiet and very efficient. Cleans very well. I would however suggest you go up to 24" if you have the room. I have a large kitchen and bought this for its portability. I figured it's only used for one person but large bowls and serving dishes need more room. Other than that, I'm extremely satisfied
This dishwasher is great! I have a small kitchen so a larger one won't fit, but this one does. It does a great job on everything I have put in it so far. I have not had a DW for several years, and I am really enjoying this one. It holds breakfast and dinner dishes for two people, as well as two or three pans, serving bowls, etc. It is also very nice to have the extra workspace on top of it, since the door opens from the front. It is so quiet that we can sit just a few feet from it while it is running and watch TV and talk without any problem or unpleasantness. It gets five stars from me!
This dishwasher is great for my small house. It cleans the dishes really well. The only part I don't like is the power cord does not easily come in and out. So we leave it hanging out and looped over the water connector so the power cord won't get frayed
Sears customer service is terrible. Tech came to fix leak after waiting for 10 hours (estimated window was 10-5pm). Destroyed my kitchen, then lost the paperwork. Spent 2.5 hours speaking with various departments in India trying to get a replacement, but not without said paperwork.
Now I have a new appointment (from 9am-5pm) a week later. Avoid!
I've been putting off buying a dishwasher because I didn't think there was room in our kitchen. The top of it actually adds extra counter space (coffee nook) to our kitchen. It was easy to install. No extra parts required because the fitting can fit both male and female faucet ends. I attached it to our mudroom sink through a small hole in the kitchen wall so we don't even need to move it back and forth. It does a whole day's worth of dishes for a small family of 3 with one more on the way. Even on the "air dry" setting, the dishes come out dry just by opening the door. You still get water pooling on the indentations of dishes that are upside down, but that can be expected even with expensive dishwashers.
