Love this dishwasher. perfect for two.Only have to turn it on every few days as it holds more than i thought. Its very quiet compared to any other I have had in the past.Dishes come out super clean. I have an older home and this fit right in perfect.Looks clean no dials and with stainless tub no worry of stains. Have yet to find a downside. Little pricy for smaller size but shop for deals. It has all full size features and quality seems excellent. Totally satisfied
I purchased this new Kenmore dishwasher to replace a Kenmore that we had for over 20 years. After following the installation instructions I was ready to test the dishwasher. The first step is to pour 2 quarts of water inside the unit. To my shock, the water poured right out the back of the unit and down inside my cabinet. After the clean up, I pulled the unit out, unhooked the electrical and plumbing to repeat the test. Again the water poured out the back of the unit. I could plainly see that it was pouring out of the connection from the pump motor to the upper spin unit. It is unbelievable to me that this unit was not checked at the factory. If they had poured a little water into the unit they would have seen the unit fail and would not have sent it out for delivery to a customer. I have requested a full refund and a pickup of the dishwasher, I want nothing to do with Kenmore, especially after being told that they don't even build appliances any longer. They contract them out. It is truly sad what has happened to a once great company like Sears. Solid brand names like Kenmore have been reduced to second rate quality items. My original Kenmore dishwasher lasted 20 years, this one didn't even last 20 minutes.
We have had a Kenmore 18 inch dishwasher for about 16 years. alas it was time to replace it. The newer model has some nice features, like a stainless steel interior, but it is not as easy to load, and does not seem to hold as many dishes. Bottom line, dishes are getting clean again
Not bad was expecting it to a lot less then what we got and does.
Bought this unit to replace an older Kenmore washer that died after 20 years. Installation can be done by a DIY with basic tools. My install was slightly difficult because the existing water line was made of copper and soldered to the shut off valve. However I did not have to buy a install kit as I was able to use the tee fitting from the old machine(Saved $20).
The washer works fine, could be a little quieter. It will hold 8 place settings but it takes some ingenuity to fit everything in the racks. The utensil basket could be designed better, the slots will not accommodate large handled utensils but you can remove the top to fit them in. I would have given it 5 stars except for the lack of a full size toe kick cover that would be flush with the door. The cover is recessed back from the front cover leaving a 4 inch gap. I can understand the cost savings but appearance is just as important.
Compared this to a Fridgidare model and found it to be the same unit but is priced substantially lower than Fridgidare.
I like the dishwasher just fine but then Sears would not stop calling me on my cell phone day and night. So 4 stars for the dishwasher and 1 star for Sears for bugging me.
Quiet and effective but overall kind of chintzy especially the low budget latch. Installation manual could use a human engineer's touch.
