The temperature outside was 70 deg. There was a breeze/wind of 4 mph. The grill never heated up past 300 degrees. The first time I used it with both burners on it reached 600 deg and I had to turn them down. So if it's nice and warm outside with no cool breeze - go for it. If your in Oregon give it a 2nd thought. Good quality grill other than that. Don't expect to use smoking chips in a aluminum package because it will never get hot enough to get the chips to smoke.
First off I'll start by saying that I've had this grill for just over 3 years in Michigan climate and am handing it off to my grandparents as I'll upgrade for our new patio. It was the first grill I ever bought and was probably about $200. The burners get the grill to about 450 degrees on a good day, never more, and if the wind is blowing the gaps in the back of the cook box will let in air and it'll take much longer to cook, but that's kinda to be expected for a 2 burner grill. I cleaned the grill about once a year (not near as much as I should have) and I'm not a huge fan of the grease cup as it's rather hard to get to, a slide out pan would be better. But over 3 years, it has minimal rust and that's with sitting out in the elements uncovered. The burner covers need to be replaced as one has a little hole burned through it now. It also has some hot spots, but again for a 2 burner grill, you gotta expect some of that. Overall, I'm happy with the grill and how it looks after being out in the elements for 3 years for a grill of this price point. I think it would last at least another 2-3 years if I would keep it, but time to try something new.
Bought one of these last year and it is a good grill just very small. Turned right on after the gas was hooked up never had any issues with it and we grill out a lot. was also easy to get set up. the only reason I gave it a 4 star is the sides do not fold down like most grills. Is a great grill for maybe just a couple
I have had great success with this grill. I cook successfully all year round and I live in the upper Midwest. It's a plane straight forward grill, I've easily replaced parts and it's lasted more than 8+ years without much maintenance. I'd give it 5 stars except the starter can get kind of particular. Sometimes it works great, sometimes I nothing changed it doesn't spark.
I'm about to buy another one, only because I don't feel like cleaining it!
This grill is terrible. First the heat plates rotted and I needed to replace them within the first year. Then the entire bottom of the grill has rotted out after 3 years I have to replace it. When I callled customer service they said I could replace it for a fee. They don’t stand behind their products.
