I needed a bigger refrigerator and after discovering that freezerless refrigerators seem to be crazy expensive, I settled on this and added an external temperature controller so that it wouldn't freeze. Cavernous with plenty of room!

Two years. That's the amount of time this thing lasted. My neighbor, who own the exact same one lasted 1.5 years. Only one year warranty on all parts, even the compressor which most other manufacturers warranty for 5. No wonder Sears is going bankrupt. On the plus side, it was large and cheap. But, in the end you get what you pay for.

Lasted 18 Months

Had this freezer for 18 months before it died. Had Sears maintenance specialist come to the house who told me it would cost $850 to replace an item that cost $600. He was nice enough to offer me a plan that covers all appliances in your house for $50/month which would have added another $600/year to Sears. Needless to say buying a Sears product at this point will never again be an option.

Just I ver 1 year- done??

It would cost me more for parts and labor than a new unit. Maybe the last Sears appliance I buy.  What ever happened to quality?
