Had a Kenmore (Whirlpool) for 7 yrs but the freezer was just too small. As an old employee from the 80's and my parents always buying Kenmore I wouldn't buy anything else. I wanted to upgrade to the "french door". The price was almost half off and couldn't pass it up. I was hoping this Kenmore was made by Whirlpool but is made by LG. I do hope it does last a long time. Only complaint so far is that I wish the door was textured like the sides.
Bought this fridg 3 years ago. replaced the display board 2 years ago and now the whole fridge is dead. Was told it's not worth fixing. Real nice product you're selling SEARS!

Ice Maker Quit After 15 Months
|I owned this refrigerator for 15 months when the ice maker quit working. My understanding is that it will be a $200+ repair. Broken ice makers seem to be a common problem. Not happy with the lack of quality.

|This is the main fridge that we have in the kitchen and prep area of the daycare. Let me tell you, this fridge has so much storage space.
I'm kinda on the fence about the double door style of fridge but with this fridge it works. We purchased this fridge for the daycare as mentioned above, and so there's no telling how much stuff will be in it at any given time but there's a good chance it's gonna be a lot.
When purchasing this fridge and freezer I was very critical of a lot of things, since it was bought for the daycare and needed to last and withstand heavy use.
Among the things that were most important to me when buying this, was the size of freezer and fridge storage. This has plenty of both. I wasn't sure how much I would like the freezer on the bottom but it turns out that I really like it. Secondly I really wanted to find sturdy doors and handles, the fridge gets opened and use heavily not only by teachers but by children as well, and it has been good thus far. One of the other really important things was how easy it was going to be to clean. We clean this at least once A week and there is a lot of surface to clean but it's a quick process.
Overall if you are looking for a double fridge that had a lot of space not only in the fridge but in the freezer as well then this is definitely one you need to look into.

|It's crazy how technologically and smart everything is these days, even appliances. It is almost scary to me that they have fridges that can text you grocery lists based on what you are out of. Fortunately this is not that fridge. This is a quite lovely and very modern fridge, french doors on top for the fridge and large freezer drawer on bottom.
Good machine - I'd buy it again.
|We've owned this Elite for over a year; it hasn't iced up yet, but it does need proprietary air and water filters at regular intervals. It keeps everything very cold, which is what we wanted out of it!
