Stay Efficient Need more water for your next load? The Deep Fill option lets you increase the water level on select cycles so your clothes will get the cleaning they need when they need it.
I don't get where all the negatives come from, perhaps folks just don't know how to load/use a washing machine! It's simple to use and I just set it to automatic and walk away. It does the rest. After 10 loads I've had no issues. No excess noise, it doesn't take forever to wash a load and washes three times the amount of clothes my old one took and they came out clean!
Less than three months after purchasing this machine it stopped working. Waited a week for repairman with window of 12-4 pm. He showed up at 6. Control board on new machine needed to be replaced. Returned a week later with wrong part. Waited another week with no communication from Sears so I called them. Part was placed on back order a week after repairman visit and I was never notified. They have 30 days from the time it was placed on back order to determine if machine will be replaced. I will NEVER EVER buy another product from them again. My first Kenmore lasted 21 years with one repair. This new one with technology 3 months. Customer Service STINKS!!!!! No wonder Sears is closing stores and going out of business. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!!! Oh by the way, when I called for a repairman the first time, they had the nerve to ask if I wanted a consultation for a new roof or windows. Can you imagine?? You can't sell or fix a machine with competency and I'm going to trust you with a roof or windows?
SERVICE WAS WONDERFUL AND I WOULD RECOMEND THEM OVER AND OVER. THANK YOU SEARS FOR HELPING ME!!
I was very nervous to purchase this machine in my local Sears store, after reading all the negative reviews. I decided that based on the selection of other brands, options and pricing I would buy both this washing machine and the matching dryer. I decided to give it some time before reviewing, so that I could try out a variety of cycles and see how it stood up. I give it 5 stars based on machines like it today, all high-efficiency top load washers on the market use some type of wash plate. You cannot expect great results if you don't load it properly. Load it in quadrants around the wash plate, build up the sides and do not cover the wash plate. These machines are not capable of washing the volume of clothing that the older machines could, I never try to wash over 3/4 basket when properly loaded, when finished it comes out to being about 1/2 the tub or less. I like the features and options on the Kenmore, I use the Heavy Duty cycle for mostly everything I wash and leave it on the deep fill option. It is not nearly as **** clothing as previous machines. The deep fill option does not mean the tub fills completely with water, it adds additional to the auto suggested amount. Everything has came out looking great so far, my only negative thing to mention about the washer is that it struggles to clean whites back. I wash with bleach and use hot water with very small loads on the Whites cycle and they still come out shades darker, this being due to the gentle action of the wash plate. If you have heavily soiled white clothes, I would suggest running the soak cycle first. It is a fairly quiet machine, as for build quality it is like anything else on the market. I expect to get somewhere between 4-6 years out of it.
do not buy this washing machine and the service at sears is the worst. had a repair to fix it once broke again and now want to charge $89 to look at it again. DONOT BUY
