I don't understand all the negative reviews for this washing machine. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have had zero problems with it thus far and have had it for a few months now. Yes, it sounds different than "regular" agitator machines, but that's because it is first weighing the clothing to detect how much water to use. There are tons of functions on this machine as well and the drum is huge. I honestly don't think it is loud or annoying and is actually quite calming. My clothing comes out perfectly clean and rinsed. I suggest reading the manual and knowing all the features about this machine prior to using, so that you have a good understanding of how it works and how you can get the most out of it. So far, I really love this washing machine.
Only sad that I have to even give it one star. I purchased this new set a year ago....and just barely went to check on a load. The cycle is nearly finished and when I opened the lid and - as usual-I can still see dry spots on some of the items. Ridiculous!! In trying to be 'highly efficient' ---the machine is supposed to sense how much water to use- which is never more than a couple of inches. Yes, I have had Sears' service people come check to see if my machine is defective- NOPE!! Apparently they are all this horrible- mine is nothing special. I wash most loads twice (ruining my clothes twice as fast- thanks Sears!) just to get them halfway clean/decent. The machine also seems to collect lint at the bottom of the machine- it doesn't drain out well and then redeposits on the clothes sitting on the bottom of the load. Which requires yet ANOTHER wash with them on top, hoping to get the lint off- which only works sometimes because, remember the top clothes sometimes don't even get enough water on them to get clean in the first place. A never-ending cycle of excruciating laundry-frustration!! This is without a doubt the worst purchase I have ever made. Save yourselves!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS MACHINE!!!!!
So far so good. Washes well. Holds bigger loads. A little louder than my last washer but not too bad. Seems to be the power horse I need it to be. Hope it lasts as long as kenmore is known for.
I don't have good luck with that, after the
3.rd usage this washer stop to work.
Called customer service and very less help because it was online purchase....
Finally we just returned to the store this washer .The salesman was very nice and really helpful!!
No online purchase!!!!anymore.
Bought this washer less than 2 years ago and it was fine for the first year. Since then we cannot put in even the smallest of loads and it makes the most horrendous banging noises and walks all over the floor. Don't even try to put in a larger load of clothes. It sounds like it's going to take off and fly out the door. And yes, it is as level as it possibly can be. I'm afraid that it's going to ruin my floor and even the walls as it walks its way over to the walls and bangs against them.
I am about to the point that I'm going to take it to the scrap yard and buy a new washer. When I purchased the washer I checked the reviews and it got pretty good scores. Must be everyone wrote their reviews shortly after purchasing theirs. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. My last Kenmore lasted about ten years and this one was suppose to be an upgrade to that one. Guess I should have spent the money to fix the old one. I will not buy another Kenmore product. Should have known the way Sears is going down the drain that their products would be too. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE!!!!!
I agree with the feedback that any negative reviews are most likely based on users that are using the proper settings. It is a 45 cycle time on deep fill and auto fill modes. However it has an express wash which is the same cycle type just less time between cycles which brings load times down to 30 mins. It's an old school selector type machine with larger writing which I like for my elderly parents that get dizzy trying to figure machines that are set up like windows 10. Buy it you'll like it.
Best washer I ever had big I love it
This can hold a very large load. I washed my Queen comforter in this washing machine and was very happy with how it cleaned.
Worked fine for a year, albeit a little loud and the bleach dispenser was mediocre at best. After just over 12 months, it started agitating only some of the time. I think the lid switch may be bad, but we haven't yet figured out the problem. I wish we wouldn't have purchased this bc it's too cheap to have to pay a lot of money to fix it, plus it hasn't even lasted very long in the first place.
