I Really Love this Washing Machine

I don't understand all the negative reviews for this washing machine. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have had zero problems with it thus far and have had it for a few months now. Yes, it sounds different than "regular" agitator machines, but that's because it is first weighing the clothing to detect how much water to use. There are tons of functions on this machine as well and the drum is huge. I honestly don't think it is loud or annoying and is actually quite calming. My clothing comes out perfectly clean and rinsed. I suggest reading the manual and knowing all the features about this machine prior to using, so that you have a good understanding of how it works and how you can get the most out of it. So far, I really love this washing machine.

Worst purchase of my adult life

Only sad that I have to even give it one star. I purchased this new set a year ago....and just barely went to check on a load. The cycle is nearly finished and when I opened the lid and - as usual-I can still see dry spots on some of the items. Ridiculous!! In trying to be 'highly efficient' ---the machine is supposed to sense how much water to use- which is never more than a couple of inches. Yes, I have had Sears' service people come check to see if my machine is defective- NOPE!! Apparently they are all this horrible- mine is nothing special. I wash most loads twice (ruining my clothes twice as fast- thanks Sears!) just to get them halfway clean/decent. The machine also seems to collect lint at the bottom of the machine- it doesn't drain out well and then redeposits on the clothes sitting on the bottom of the load. Which requires yet ANOTHER wash with them on top, hoping to get the lint off- which only works sometimes because, remember the top clothes sometimes don't even get enough water on them to get clean in the first place. A never-ending cycle of excruciating laundry-frustration!! This is without a doubt the worst purchase I have ever made. Save yourselves!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS MACHINE!!!!!

Just What I Wanted

|

Holds a large load. I bought this model 3 weeks ago. I chose it because it has no center agitator for sweatshirt strings to get caught on and the drum is stainless steel. It works wonderful and is a very good machine for the price. I am a Kenmore loyal customer since 1985 and I purchased the Sears extended protection plan. I owned my last Kenmore washer for 6 years with no problems and just wanted to upgrade and have a worry free appliance for my large family. My machines get a lot of use with dirty work clothes. Other reviews have mentioned that the water level was too low but I have not noticed that at all. I usually use deep wash just to make sure. I would recommend this product.

Sucks

|

Sears is ridiculous, i bought this washer exactly a week ago and after having it 4 days the transmission went out, oil everywhere on my wood floor and in order to get a new washer i would have to load it back up in my car take it back to the store get a refund and reorder it online. Such a hassle. Will never buy a sears product again.

Do not purchase this

worst washer we have ever owned. leaves soap stains and requires 2nd and 3rd washing just to remove. Our typical cycle time to wash a load of darks is now 2.5 hours not including drying them.

Piece of Junk and Awful Customer Service!!!!

|

I purchased this washing machine back in 2015. I started having problems with it not washing rinsing or draining. I called customer service and they are the worst company I have EVER dealt with!!!! The first time I called I was transferred 10 times (not exaggerating) before I got to the right department. They sent out a service person on Saturday between 1-5. He comes earlier and stayed literally 10 mins stating that he “reset” it. So, I start a load of towels and it literally took 2 hours for them to go through the entire cycle. So I called customer service again ?? back to reschedule another appointment since the man said he would replace the control panel if it wasn’t fixed after he left. So after I called again, they told me I had to wait 24-48 hrs before they could schedule again. ??

Nice job

I have owned this machine for about a year now.
Pros:  It cleans great.  The rinse cycle gets out most of the water so your drying time is less.  Has an express cycle for small loads to save time and water.
Cons:  A bit noisy.  It leaves lint on the dark clothes and they can get very twisted together.

High Efficiency?

|

I just checked my laundry at the end of the wash cycle and it was still dry on top. This machine does not use enough water to get clothes clean. It takes 3-4 times longer to wash a load of laundry than a standard washing machine using that much more electricity. Do yourself a favor and walk away from this machine.

Disappointed

|

I was warned against buying a machine with an electronic control board & a washer that locked. Wish I had listened. After having an “old fashioned” washer with an agitator, I went with the recommendation from the Sears sales person for one under $500 (after they tried for the $750 & up machines). Bought in May, 2017. As of today, it has quit working. Calling service tomorrow but based on reviews, not expecting much. Worked great for the 1st 6 months but in the last month, it’s not spinning the clothes so are coming out soaking wet and the drain & spin cycle does not work unless I take out the clothes, do another load, and then put them back in to spin. Or they come out tangled & in a **** , ruins elastic on underwear, etc. I really miss an agitator and just being able to open the washer to throw in a random missed sock or turn to just a spin cycle when needed. I did buy the extended service plan - will see what happens. Really just want to return it and start over.
