Awesome Capacity, washes OK

I now understand how the negative reviews about poor cleaning are unjustified. The HE process with all brands leaves much more lint on the clothes than agitator machines which people have erroneously construed as dirt or poor rinsing. The lint removes quickly in the dryer and not only that but the clothes coming out of the dryer are even more lint free than clothes dryed from the agitator wash. I have seen no lint whatsoever on the dryed clothes and I have a cat with black & white fur so as weird as it seems, yes the clothes are very linty from the wash but it dissapears like magic in the dryer. And I haven't even used the liquid softener yet which should be even better than softener sheets. I checked other brands and it seems this is the nature of HE washes but it could be this model is worse with lint. If you like to hang your clothes instead of using a dryer, I can only assume that a front load washer would be better at this lint problem and probably stay away from HE top loaders period. I use the dryer for everything so the lint doesn't bother me and the amount of clothes I can do in one wash is fantastic so I am happy with this machine. Also, I think some people have put powder detergent in the liquid dispenser which is why they got residue as well.

DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER

DO NOT BUY this machine. This is the second machine we have tried and both have been faulty. The first Kenmore 28132 that we purchased from Searsoutlet.com in June 2016 did not fill with water at all. As we had already purchased the matching clothes dryer, we purchased a 2nd Kenmore 28132 from Sears.com. While this unit fills with some water, it does not fill enough to get all of the clothes wet. Clothes on the top can complete a full standard wash cycle and come out still dry. We have to run it on the "deep fill" and "bulky" items settings, along with 2 rinse cycles in order to attempt to clean the clothes. This eliminates any of the water saving features of the HE design. Even then, it still leaves soap residue on the clothes and does not do a good job of washing items. Once you are outside of the 30-day return window, Sears will not even take the item back on an exchange. They will insist that you have a repair technician come look at the machine. This machine is very overrated at a score of "69" from Consumer Reports.

Absolutely love it!

I bought this about a month ago and couldn't be happier. It is even bigger than I thought and it cleans and dried so well. I didn't even realize how bad my other machines were until I started using this set. Highly recommend! Great equipment for the price!

Terrible Washer - Don't Buy

|

I've had this washer for about 1.5 yrs now, and it replaced my old 20+ yr Kenmore. I should of read the reviews before I bought it. I thought it being a Kenmore guaranteed a great product. No more. Like other reviewers said, the machine does not wash clothes well. All my clothes are dingy and greyish after a few washes. I am scared to wash any black clothing because of the white soap stains that are almost impossible to remove. Some of my clothes feel completely dry when the wash cycle is done, super wrinkled and just an off-smell to it all. I've tried adding Oxy, Downy pellets, dryer sheets during drying, etc. and nothing works I don't allow white socks in the house anymore, I'd rather my guys wear black than to try to get white clean socks again. Those days are gone, seems like. I am so frustrated. I am about to go look for an old washer, even used, if it means I get an agitator and a full tub of water. My friend has a Samsung doing the same thing. Seems like the problem is industry-wide. We don't need so many bells and whistles, just make a washer that cleans clothes! Six choices: Wash: hot, warm, cold; fill: low, medium deep! Get it together, people.

Washer & Installers

|

I can’t say enough about the installers! Jorge & Brandon were so nice and polite, extremely professional! The installation went so smoothly. Jorge explained how to use the Washer & Dryer, made sure I understood how everything worked before they left. I would highly recommend you request these installers!!!

Only had machine five months and it has stopped working. Been a month now and hasn’t been repaired. Keep telling me part is on back order. I am disabled and going to laundrymat is a hassle. For your peace of mind DON’T buy this machine. Called customer service some reps were very helpful but yesterday was ****. Rep asked what part I ordered I became very very upset ??. I need my washer working not tell me the part is on back order, GIVE ME ANOTHER MACHINE.
