The product you are buying is showing false specifications. The advertised specs are way different than the actual water heater. Specifically, it states there are 2 anode rods, yet there is only one. This means shorter life span. It also states the recovery rate is 81 GPH, yet it is only 72GPH. And it is also only a 74 gallon tank, not 75 gallons.

Leak in tank ruined my wood floor

The hot water heater was 7 yrs old. The igniter went out. Called plumber on Monday. He said leak in tank to contact sears because of 12 yr tank warranty. Sears said Friday before someone could be out. Technician came out and said leak in tank needed warranty replacement. New tank ordered.  Store delivery only on Fridays. Picked up tank at sears. Sears does not have plumber in our area so had to contract plumber to install on Monday. Plumber came out Monday but new water heater was damaged. Tank had dropped inside from shipping. Sears ordered another tank on Monday. Sears delivery on Friday. Picked up tank on Sunday because  we were out of town. Plumber installed on Monday. About 19 days no hot water.  Ruined wood floor from leaking tank and leaking pan under it.  Not a good three weeks.

Very bad service from sears ,Ripping off .

They are asking for less labor charges first and then later they will charge you another labor ,and when mechanic come he will charge another extra labor . so in that way you guys need to pay almost $ 800 f0r labor and permit money extra and still no customer service, Not recommended for any one, very bad.

Sears not reputable

I read the reviews on Sears not honoring warranties and I whole heartedly believe it.My Mom signed a contract for AC install and they did not honor it and demanded a lot more $ . I agree Sears will cease
I will buy water heater elsewhere,

I had one of these water heaters that started leaking after 10 years; I thought ok, it has a 12 year warranty. Called Sears, they sent a repair person who charged me $89 for a service call to tell me that it was leaking. He said that the hot water heater service department would be in contact with me. Fast forward 4 hours later - woman from sears calls and says all we need is a receipt and we'll help you. I didn't have a receipt from 10 years ago so they didn't honor the warranty. From my experience, SEARS lies about their warranties and offers horrible customer service. I would ABSOLUTELY NEVER buy anything from sears again. Used to be one of the best companies in America. Now, a pathetic company that will use ridiculous methods to get out of honoring their written warranty. BUYER BEWARE. I'd be surprised if sears is still around in 5 years.
