I spoke with a rep. from Sears Parts direct and the pre and post replacement filters and RO membrane replacement filters are still available. If you go to SearsPartsDirect.com and search on the reverse osmosis model number, the filters show up as discontinued. However, if you search on the replacement filter part numbers, you will find them. The part numbers are as follows: Pre and Post filters: 3805607 RO Membrane filter: 3857706 In case you're talking to a Sears rep. and they ask, the DIV number is 42 and the PLS number is 625. Hope this is a help to anyone looking for the replacement filters.
It works fine, fairly easy to install. Not economical for replacement filters. Current prices of replacement filters: Pre and Post Filters (Sears) 42-38056 $49.99 Reverse Osmosis Membrane (Sears Parts Direct) 3857705 $58.67 Plus shipping = More than the whole system cost if the first place. .
Over 2 hours to hook up only for the molding to have a hair line fracture and leak.
Product works fine. Here is my issue with this product. You have to replace the filters every 6 month which cost $50.00
Then you have to replace the membrane filter every year which will cost you just over $120.00. So every year you spend over $200.00. It’s cheaper just replace the entire system by purchasing a new one every year (which I did once) for under $200.00. I called customer services because the membrane filter is only sold to you by calling sear because it’s not even on sears web page. They quoted me $220 for the filters and membrane. I told them it was cheaper just to buy the system again since all the filters are included and the price of the new unit was $169.00. I ended up ordering a higher end RO system from ****** and the replacement filter kit is under $100.
We replaced our 15 year old kinetco RO system and the Kenmore so far is substantially better than the old unit when it was new.
Sometimes deals are not what they seem, I found this reverse Osmosis system for $185, yes too good to be true. It worked for 3 days and afterwards it just stopped. I call everyone from Sears, the installation people, after awhile they kept referring me to different departments, I just gave up and returned the system and purchase a pelican system, much better and it works with no flaws. When it comes to these systems, for better tasting water, buy a premium product.
The cost of a replacement faucet is $79 with standard shipping. Totally outrageous. Yes this system provides great filtered water, just don't mess up one of the two holes inside the faucet that holds the attaching screws.
