I purchased this grill on-line and picked it up at a local store. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the grill appeared to be decent quality. The box is packed logically and it was easy to organize prior to setting up. If you've ever assembled a grill before, you'll be happy to know that these instructions were pretty straight forward, the parts aligned very well, and I was able to fully assemble the grill by myself in approximately two hours, with occasional breaks to sip my beer. I've been using the grill for the last two weeks and I am very glad that I got this particular unit. The fold out unit is well-thought out, the LED light is a simple, but very functional design and I can't believe I ever grilled without the extra space! The burners all light quickly and burn very evenly. So far, I've grilled quite a bit and I am amazed that I don't have any discernible hot or cold spots, which is impressive. My only gripe is that--for the price--the steel used could be of a higher quality and a bit thicker. Again, this is a minor gripe, but I'm amazed at how lightweight this grill is compared to other four- and five-burner grills that lack the extra material for the table. This hasn't caused me any problems, but could reduce the overall life of the grill. Time will tell. Regardless, as a life-long griller, I say purchase this with confidence!
I owed this grill for 3 years. The firebox has completely disintegrated. A quick google search showed that this is a very common problem with Kenmore grills. Sears Customer service is unable or unwilling to help with the problem.
I really loved this grill for the first 2-years. By year 3, the firebox completely rusted away... right through to the cabinet below. The rest of the grill, built in stainless steel, looks perfect. Why didn't the use metal that stands up to heat for the firebox? I've crammed cheap baking-pans into what's left of the firebox until I replace this grill. Everyone loved this side table extension, a really great feature.
Don't expect more than 2-years out of this before the problems start!
I would like to purchase a barbecue, on your website, but for some ungodly reason, every grill on your website, is undeliverable to my area. So then why are they advertised?
Almost did not make it past assembly. If you don't have small fingers and a magnetic Phillips screwdriver you are in trouble. Even with those tools, it is a challenge. Suggestion: buy it assembled.
Has the features I want. The side fold up table is nice. Much more prep and serving area.
