We bought what we thought was a fairly nice grill from one of the big box store about three years ago and it is already toast. We decided to take a look at almost every grill known to man before buying. This is the one we ended up with and are very happy with it. It is completely Stainless and is not the cheap stuff. The burners can each be started on their own with the electronic ignition system. (not the push spring type but the battery operated kind) The searing unit works great. I have never used one of these before. It gets extremely hot to sear the meat before you move it to the regular grill. The flame tamers and burner tubes are also made of heavy stainless. Both the top warming rack and the grill grates are really heavy. I can tell this grill will last. As for cooking, I noticed no hot spots and it gets hot really fast. After looking at so many grills this is the only one in this price range that is all stainless....I opted to put it together myself and it took about an hour and a half. If I had it to do over again I think I would take advantage of the free assembly service. We added a cover for $37. We bought it on line at the store to save $20
I ordered this grill for my mother in law, online since in the description it said "All Stainless Steel". This was the most important feature to me as the mixed metal units rust out quick. During assembly I noticed the backs of the doors and the bottom of the lid are galvanized steel. It looked like the bottom of the grill box was made of regular steel painted silver to look like stainless. If this grill was actually all stainless I would have give it a 4 or 5 stars, but for the money it is not a good value as it is not 100% stainless. Sears needs to change their description as the way it stands now it is false advertising. I would have sent it back, but my mother in law said she would just keep it.

Don't buy. Customer service is the Worst
|After 1 1/2 years of use the Main Burner Rusted out. A The customer service people make you jump thru hoops. And don't know anything you are talking about. Even tho there is a 10 year warranty they don't want to warranty the parts. So frustrating . Never buying kenmore products again.

Solid BBQ
|I recently bought this BBQ and easily assembled it on a chilly Saturday afternoon in time for its first ‘que that night. I’m very happy with my purchase.im giving it a 4 out of 5 due to a couple things. The front panel doors do not both sit evenly to capture the magnetic locks and the right side swings open on its own.also a few pieces were dented which shows on the side panel and inside back panel. I kept them because the delivery guy took my replacement BBQ and I needed to continue setting it up to use that evening.
I would hope that Sears would have replaced the 2 damaged panels, but because this was brand new, I’m rating them 4. Overall great BBQ aside from that.
