Seems to be be working well.
This refrigerator is quite cheap, but don't this let the price fool you. The quality of the stainless steel is the worst. After 3 months since we purchased it, front doors began to rust. This was the first time we purchased Kenmore and the last time. The warranty that they provide comers nothing, and I mean NOTHING. I do not think that stainless steel should rust after 3 months of use. I may be wrong. But when you pay almost a $1000, you expect this item to last at least a year. This fridge was never wet, there was nothing that can cause the rust. It is just the material they used. In case if you do decide to buy it, do not even dream of getting any customer support or help in getting a replacement. The manufacturer's warranty does not cover rust. We tried to clean as best as we could, but nothing really helped. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It is not worth it. Do your research, by some other brand, BUT NOT KENMORE. They should be ashamed of the product they sell to people.
I purchased as a second refrigerator and love it. It's quiet and very roomy. This is more of a matted stainless, so be aware, but still very attractive. Great purchase price as it was on sale, definitely meeting my needs.
Update- replacement items never received. Sears is now telling me i have to purchase the additional shelving units that were never delivered with the new unit. 4 additional phone calls, no resolution. Shop elsewhere!!!!! Delivery crew dropped off a damaged unit, missing shelves, no manual, left trash in the driveway and did not provide delivery paperwork. Chatted, called and no resolution from Sears. First and last time I will ever shop Sears appliances.
It is everything that we needed. We love it. I can't believe how quickly the freezer came to the proper temp after installation. I was able to place everything back in right away. There is so much space!!! What a great refrigerator for a great value. No problems at all...I highly recommend this one!!!
I purchased this from Sears in November 2015. Within the first year, the refrigerator's moisture was freezing in the air path from the fridge to the freezer. When this happens, no cold air returns to the fridge. The fridge is have some knocking or bombing sound all the time. This may be more a problem with Sears than with this appliance because we called Sears to fix it and he convinced me that it was my fault for filling the freezer too full and i should turn the freezer lower degree and turn the fridge to a higher degree, most of the food and juice can't eat and drinks after a week. The 2nd years, one night the fridge have the bumping sound for almost an hour and finally the fridge die for half day. Worst fidge i ever had. Our warranty expired. If you can't honor your warranty, then what good are you. Becareful of buying stuff with sears, all the appliances i bought from sears has problem, including the hoods, and the stove has already been exchanged once.
Very happy with the refrigerator. Have always been satisfied with Kenmore appliances and this was no exception, exactly what we wanted and at a very reasonable price. However, I did notice some damage after the delivery personnel had left (scratches and a gouge on one side). The delivery personnel told me if I did see any damage after they left, I needed to report the damage within 72 hours. I was sent a survey and filled it out within 48 hours, identifying the damage and asking for someone to notify me regarding the damage. When no one had contacted me for several days, I called and inquired about the damage and that no one had contacted me yet. I was told that notifying them via the survey did not count as notifying them, it had to be done by phone, although having to notify them by phone was never specified, just that I notify them. I was then told there was nothing they could do not as the phone call was past the 72 hours. Very discouraging.
