This washer is great! It is whisper quiet,You wont have to close the door or only use it during the day because of noise or vibration. It has settings for everything you may possibly want to wash. I washed our comforters and it cleaned them very well. Not only that it didnt have lots of water on it after spinning
This washer has no temperature sensors, so bases temperature on the assumption that the water at the hot inlet is at maximum. Even though our laundry room is next to the gas water heater, it takes 10 seconds for the water entering the washer to reach max. On top of this, it does further hot top ups in small bursts, from a copper hot water line that loses heat rapidly as water lies in it. This is all magnified by the fact that this washer only uses a couple of gallons of water to wash. The end result is that you are constantly washing in cold water. Ensure you get a washer that has temperature sensors and the ability to heat the water if it's not at the right temperature. The pedestal washer that came with it suffered from the same problem.
This washing machine has leaked from the day I got it. Disappointed.
This is a replacement from the original I purchased in May/June 2010. The original was HE and so is this one, but the new one, with 7 more years of tweaking uses a lot less energy and water!
high vibration with every load I wash , service has no explanation for , I am being told that this part of its function!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Died 5 days after warranty expired. It will cost more than we paid for the machine to fix it (tub bearing) and Sears is not taking any responsibility. It did an OK job when it worked, but now we're screwed. I'm waiting to hear back after my third call begging for a fix or replacement that's not $900. I'll update this review after I hear.
Like the style of the machine. After only a couple months the smell of towels coming out is terrible. Tried everything. Drain the hose every time, and clean the filter. Dry and clean outer boot, leave the door opened. Run bleach through a cycle and event the freshener for the store. Use proper detergent. I spend more time cleaning the machine than I do clothes. Still once a clean towel gets damp, it stinks. I run my towel through 2 full cycles each time and still have a problem. Use fabric softener. Small- medium loads. Only two adults in the house!
