Touch controls are easy to work and I love the fact that the adjustable burners are in the front. Installation was more difficult than anticipated. I had a ten year old GE profile 30 inch cooktop and initially this cooktop was just a half inch too large. We had to have our granite countertop cut to make it fit, but it was worth it.
This item had a power failure after 6 weeks of use. What a piece of junk. I had the duel burner on the right at 4 and the back left burner on 6 boiling water and the darn thing died on me. I knew I should stuck with my 1st intention to go with the Kitchen Aid. After a couple of hours of troubleshooting (checking breaker box etc.), I just phoned in the issue on 12/09/2017 and was told that a tech wouldn't make it out until 12/27/2017. Wow so X-mas dinner has been cancelled thanks for nothing SEARs, should have gone to ******.

Works fine, but installation difficult.
|The big problem was installation. You'd think that a Sears Cooktop would fit easily with a Sears oven purchased at same time. Not the case. The positioning of the electronics box beneath the cooktop did not match-up with space on top of oven. Considerable expense to lower the oven.
Works fine, but you have to be very careful to make sure it can be installed.

|Sears always has a way of making things right. It's why I keep going back to them. I ordered the cooktop because my previous one was heating inconsistently. The cooktop was delivered and after preparing the opening I noticed a crack across the top left corner. I called and they immediately sent me a new one, no problem. Works great, I love that the controls are integrated into the glass and the lock feature is handy when the kids are around. So far everything is working beautifully and my food is not scorched!

|The cooktop heats very well and I like the flat controls. However, it is hard to keep clean. It scratches easily and the edge facing you has begun to peel in one place.
