I have been cooking for about 50 yrs. . Once toaster ovens first came out I owned one. Had many in my time. This is the best I have ever used (that is not a commercial one) . I have had it for about 8 months now . Use it everyday from baking to broiling and even making Pizza. Never had a problem with it . Controls are easy to use and see. The best part is it is easy to clean. From burnt on cheese from that dripping pizza to grease from broiling. Whatever the finish is , it's great. Just a well make item. If you need an everyday toaster over this is it.
On the plus side, it cooks well and is easy to operate. However has some serious design problems that could have been easily fixed. First, the rear has a rounded area that protrudes from the rectangular toaster to allow you to fit a round pizza in it. That works well except for one major problem. The rack you put the pizza on is square, so the pizza overhangs a couple of inches beyond the rack into this oval. Pizza are breaking and dumping pizza toppings into the back of the over. The rack could have easily been extended and there wouldn't be an issue. The second design issue is the rack can't go down very far and it makes it impossible to fit anything bigger than a few inches tall. It does cook pizzas very quickly and is great for reheating, but could have easily been much better.
The oven itself has worked exactly as I would have anticipated for this type of oven at this price point. Maybe even better.
The included pan set was not finish coated or something. I kept noticing black smudge marks left on my countertop in my kitchen and I could not figure out where they were coming from until one day a friend of mine pointed out that they were being left by the baking pan included with this oven. And she was right. I had already thought that the texture, if you will, of the baking pan was not correct because it was not a smooth finish. I think it’s not a coated finish at all..... it’s like raw aluminum or something.
So I went on to Amazon and bought a replacement pan made of stainless steel from another company for about $15 and it all works perfectly now. No complaints
