Build quality is nice, the refrigerator works well and assembly was pretty easy. Stainless grilling grates are very heavy and feel like good quality. Only change I would make is to incorporate all the electrical into one plug. There is a plug for the interior lighting and another for the refrigerator. Overall a great purchase I'm happy with!
$1600 grill and ALL burners are destroyed!!!! Not just 1, not just a little bit of rust... I started to notice uneven burning and flaming for some months, but I thought it would be grease burning or something like that. Until it was too much so yesterday I went ahead and look under the little hoods. ALL 5 burners are completely destroyed, obliterated, annihilated, and falling apart with missing chunks!!! This have been going on for a while but I found the problem a year-and-a-week after the date of purchase, and a year-and-a-day after delivery so both Sears and Kenmore are laughing their back and wishing me luck with the $1600 piece of scrap metal they sold me a year ago.
bought grill less than 2 years ago with extended warranty. Burners have already been replaced along with thermostat which I waited over 4 months for to get and now grates are coming apart and difusers and they told me the grates were ordered 6 months ago when tech came out and they are still backordered. Don't but anything from sears because you can't be guaranteed parts even when you buy extended warrranty. Now I know why they are going out of business. Sears used to be the only place to buy from years ago and now they don't stand behind anything
This barbecue was purchased for me for my birthday in July of 2016 and I have had problems with it ever since I got it. The biggest issue is that the refrigerator is not a refrigerator. Itdoes not keep anything cold in it despite being set to various cold settings in the refrigerator. I have had 3 technicians come out to try and fix the BBQ but none of them have been able to fix it. I have made nearly 10 phone calls to customer Solutions and that has resulted in nothing as well. The technicians tell me that the refrigerator is actually not a refrigerator therefore it can't be repaired. And since it can't be repaired it can be covered under warranty. Now, 2 years later, the burners don't adjust from low to high. So it's either super hot or off. Really disappointed with Kenmore.
I've had this grill for two years now and am completely dissatisfied with it. I can't use the drawers because every time it rains they fill up with water. Also unless the flavor bars are spotlessly clean it flares up and forces you to remove whatever you are grilling. I'm talking three alarm flare ups. This happens at whatever temp you set the controls for. Also the first time I cleaned the grill using mild soap the markings on the knobs came off. This grill is best used for an anchor. I am very sorry I bought it. Do yourself a favor and buy something else for much less money.
I was very happy with this grill in the beginning. Now that some time has past it looks like there a common problem with this grill everyone is having.
The cooking grates have rusted from the inside and They never have parts available. It's now looks like my grate exploded.
I would just new grates but the grates haven't been available for several months and sears can't get them.
So now comes the warranty repair and protection agreement. which i purchased for five years. They can't do anything.
DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRANTY and DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS.
These grill grate are not made out the (Professional-quality stainless steel cooking grates). Looking at other reviews it seems like this is a common issue for everyone.
It just doesn't seem to work the other way with them. I now see why Sears went OUT OF BUSINESS near me.
Purchased this grill and was very happy with it.
Fridge works great cooks good and slow, food doesn't burn.
Now that it is 21/2 years old the cooking grates have rusted from the inside and now the chrome is being pushed off by the internal rust. Not a very big problem, just get new grates. Grates haven't been available for 6 months and sears can't get them. So what about my protection agreement?. Repair or replace... they had no trouble collecting from me. It just doesn't seem to work the other way with them.
