It's great ... probably

I just got rid of an almost new Fridgidaire Refrigerator because the company wouldn't stand behind their product's ice maker. So I decided to go with a Kenmore (after doing my research - Consumer Reports, etc). And, after 2 weeks experience, the machine works well ... however, it's noisy during the ice making process. That's not so bad except for that unexplained mechanical noise at the end of the process (when the fan motor sounds like it's clicking off). I don't think that's supposed to happen ... and it was the fan motor that was the issue with the one I just sent to the garage. So that's the reason I can't yet say 5 stars.

The guy who designed this gem should find a new career, clearly this isn't for you! Spits ice everywhere. Noisy. Doors are uneven and dont seal right causing cold air exit the freezer. Get this.. the dispensed water is NOT COLD? Really? I think you have to go out of your way to make this happen! The shelving is a joke. Its designed in such a way that wastes space to the point where items tend to slip of the back and sides. There is so much frost in my tiny freezer I could open a ski slope! WORLDS RECORD - the ice maker and bin take up more than 1/3 of the freezer space. The sides are black. only the front is this steel. The weirdest thing of all is things seem to go bad 2x as fast, for example, milk has 1/2 the shelf life than my 30 yr old Amana. I only buy 2 gallons not 4 now. The milk is cold when you drink it so I don't know what is going on! All this BS to save some cash! BTW this thing is only 1 month old!

Do not buy a Kenmore appliance.

There is a reason I'm writing this review nearly 2 years after my purchase and that is because immediate reviews are worthless to anyone wanting to know how reliable and lasting an appliance will be for them. Well, this is a horrible Kenmore fridge. I bought this item 22 months ago and the compressor died. To replace the compressor would cost a little MORE than I paid for the fridge. The repairman said Kenmore quality has gone way down. I went back to reliable Maytag/Whirlpool and will never buy another Kenmore appliance no matter how great the price. I paid over $900 to use a fridge less than 22 months. That's not a deal. Sears should be ashamed.
