Quiet coolness

Bought this AC a few days ago because I was looking for a really quiet AC for my bedroom. This one does the trick. Majorly important: install it right and with attention to detail: make sure it does not just sit on the bracket but also on the window sill! That being said: you need to ensure that the upper side of the bracket is pretty much exactly 18mm below the lower window frame where the AC will sit on. Initially the unit sat on the bracket only, which was ok, but lowering it by just a tad made a huge difference!

mold and water condensation on the controls

this is the most expensive AC unit I have ever had and the most crapy one. It has NO DEHUMIDIFICATION POWER, which means it will only cool down your room and keep all the moisture in the air. there is water condensation on the controls and mold everywhere inside the unit. even my cheapest, very loud AC unit does the job better than this OVERPRICED PIECE OF ****. I called sears repair service and they charge 75$ for somebody to come and look if it's corectly instaled - like I'm a moron who has no idea how to put AC in a window. I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow and they will charge me 15% restocking fee. ONE BIG JOKE!!!!

Great customer service!

|

I recently purchased a room air conditioner that the model had recently been updated. The sales associate helped me to find the correct part number to be able to order the side accordian pieces that helped it to fit in the window properly. With his help, the purchase was perfect!

Only lasted 3 Summers

|

I have had this unit for 3 Summers, This year i pulled it out of the closet only to find out it's not blowing cold air, these units cannot be recharged. I expected a Kenmore appliance to last longer the 3 Summers of use i got. Made in China junk

Quiet, easy installation

|

I bought this ac for my livingroom/dining room in my tiny apartment in new york. It took some help from my son to get it installed in under 15 minutes. Performance wise, it takes quite a bit of time to get the room at desired temp. Next time, I'll buy something with higher btu.

Good Fit

|

This air conditioner fits well in the small opening of the window. Cools well and is attractive in the window. The price was a little high but paid the higher cost because of the small opening we needed it to fit into. I am happy with the purchase.

Second Year of Use (works fine)

|

The unit doesn’t seem to turn on or off correctly with the temperature I set it for. I might be doing something wrong, but it’s my 2nd year of use, and you would think I would have it figured out by now. Max Cooling works good for a small/medium sized room, economy setting doesn’t cool very well, but if it is not too hot out, it works fine.
