Saw this in the retail store @400 bucks, wife fell in love with it so went back the following week since it had gone on sale. Assembly wasnt too bad except for the extra metal **** left behind when spot welding occures around the threaded hole that was causing the caster wheel to cross thread eveytime. Nothing a dremel couldnt fix, but very annoying. After assembling heat up unit for the first time heats up quick, and cooking on it, cooks like a dream with the extra cooking area. Everybody who sees it is shocked by the price and quality. Best purchase ever
Bought this grill about a year ago. We grill everyday in summer. Sometimes in winter when weather allows. Always cool it down and cover it. Needs new heat shields and burners and the rod in back that holds burns. I called for replacement parts. Hope you're sitting down. $469.00 for replacement parts. So here sits a $299.00 on sale grill that I can't use. Do I make it into a planter? We thought with kenmore we were getting a better quality grill. Not so.
Owned for 16 months and it’s falling apart and garbage
Setup was easy, box cutter, a Phillip's screw driver, follow the instructions, and it takes two people. Connect propane bottle and the 7 burners burn blue. :=)
The electric lighter quit on its second use. Not a big deal and may just be the battery was old, but I already had a stick lighter from my old grill. Other than that, it’s been great!
I bought this grill 2 years ago. It is cheaply constructed.
All of the burners and other parts all rusted/deteriorated in that 2 years. If you try to buy the replacement parts it will cost you as much as the grill and it will take 3-4 tries to get the parts needed. God forbid if you ask for the screws; they'll charge you another $10 for every screw needed to build the entire grill.
The grill never got hot, the thermostat never went over 400 degrees which is hard considering this grill has 6 burners..
The back of the grill was hot and the front of the grill never heated up.
Spend the right money and get anything but this grill!
We bought this grill before Memorial Day last summer and used it all summer long. During the last day of summer, we noticed it didn't turn on as well as it used to. When trying to figure out why, noticed the burners were broken and rusted. We have bought less expensive grills that lasted YEARS before any kind of damage. We cleaned it after every use, covered it and protected it from the weather and rain, and it still breaks only after 3 months of use. Manufacturers warranty doesn't cover rust for their lousy product that falls apart, so I either pay for the burners and other pieces or use it as a charcoal grill. Not a good buy. So disappointed in Kenmore. This was also a gift for a new home and it turned out to be disappointing.
