Nice quality and great value. Excellent service with delivery. Happy to recommend to others. Have been very happy with reliability of Sears appliances.
Do not buy this refrigerator without reading this review! I am reviewing the Kenmore 60302 refrigerator. I purchased this unit in the color bisque which is exactly the same unit as the white color. The good news is that Sears stands behind what they sell with excellent service. Unfortunately, this refrigerator does not live up to its advertisement. I purchased this unit to replace a 38 year old Kenmore refrigerator I had in my garage that I used for whatever would not fit in my main refrigerator. The old Kenmore was still working well, but after 38 years I felt it was time to upgrade. I purchased this Kenmore refrigerator because the on-line advertisement said ?Designed to work in garage environments as low as 39 degrees...? but I found that not to be the case. After a few days to allow it to cool properly, I found the freezer would not keep ice-cream frozen. Any ice-cream would turn to mush even after setting both the refrigerator and freezer controls to the full cold positions and keeping the doors closed for days. The refrigerator section seemed to work properly or at least kept items cold enough to not notice any issues. I called Sears service and they sent out a serviceman who said it could not be fixed. Sears immediately sent a replacement with no hassles whatsoever. Unfortunately, the replacement performed exactly the same. Sears delivered these units in April and the ambient temperature in my New Jersey garage was in the 55 degree range which is well within the stated specification. I had to move all ice-cream into my main refrigerator to keep it frozen. I again called Sears and requested an exchange for another model that would work in my application. After researching many units, I agreed to accept a Kenmore model 69312 in exchange. Sears extended a courtesy discount and I agreed to pay the difference in cost since the 69312 is a more expensive unit. The replacement refrigerator works great and ice-cream is kept frozen even with the cold settings on less than full. I think the main reason for the difference in performance is that the model 69312 has independent temperature controls for both the freezer and refrigerator. The model 60302 has only a single temperature control for the refrigerator section and a simple airflow control for the freezer. The smaller, less expensive Kenmore model 60302 should work ok as long as you never want to store ice-cream, but I cannot recommend this unit to anyone planning to use it in their garage. I will however, highly recommend you purchase any appliance from Sear as they are very responsive when you have trouble with a purchase from them.
No frills, but it does the trick, and it fits in a to my apartment kitchen perfectly. The freezer runs super cold, even on the lowest setting, which isn't ideal, but certainly better than super warm :-)
