Reliability

We love this refrigerator. We put it in the garage as an additional one. This is the second one we purchased. The first one lasted 15 years in extreme weather in the garage.

Beware

I purchased this refrigerator in July of 2017, and in Nov 2018, the handle broke clean off, and I am expected to purchase a new one for $100, which is 1/5th of the price of the refrigerator. I called several people to try and come up with a solution, but nobody would help me. The refrigerator is only 3 months past a year old. I was also told by one customer service rep that these items aren?t built to last. I would think twice about purchasing a Kenmore. I know have to open my refrigerator, which is practically new, not using the handle. I?d like to note that I am not a huge cook, and I don?t have children so the door isn?t even opened multiple times a day. I wish I didn?t have to leave this review but since nobody would help. I felt it was only fair to warn the public. I will say other than the handle breaking the refrigerator works normal.

POOR PRODUCT AND REALLY CRAPPY WARRANTY- IT ALMOST BURNT MY HOUSE DOWN AND YET THE ITEM THAT WENT OUT WAS NOT EVEN WARRANTIED

Practical, trouble-free

We ordered this refrigerator because our previous one was about 20 years-old, and not precisely efficient. This one is, and it works well. The one and only thing we'd like to change is to have a cheese drawer, like our previous one had. This one has a narrow shelf, which, of course, allows for a LOT of cheese (we love it) and other things to store, but it creates havoc in the shelves below, as they have an unexpected clearance. However, that's the only **** to pick. For the price, it's a very good refrigerator. Just don't overload the door shelves! They're not too strong.

Service at Sears is horrible now!

I purchased 2 of these a couple of months apart. Paid for haul away for both, they didn't haul them away, they won't say why, they won't refund the charges, keep saying one is scheduled for pick up but they never show up. No help in store nor online. Good bye Sears.
