Bring on the Bulky Stuff
This Kenmore dryer's 7.0 cu. ft. capacity can take on almost any sized load. From a light load of delicates to a mountain of towels or a duvet, this dryer can get the job done.
No More Re-Drying
SmartDry Plus technology uses 2 moisture sensors and a temperature sensor to adjust the dry cycle, ensuring dry clothes each time without damaging fabrics.
Delicate Care for Delicate Items
Use air dry for your delicate items. This 30-minute tumble cycle doesn't use additional heat, yet dries delicate items faster than traditional air drying.
Wrinkle Guard lets you do laundry on your terms by giving a load a quick toss to prevent set-in wrinkles for up to 40 minutes after the dry cycle. No more babysitting the dryer.
Drop-Down Easy Access
This Kenmore dryer's drop-down door makes it easier to sort laundry in and out and serves as a convenient quick resting spot for the clothes basket.
I bought this dryer almost seven months ago and have been very pleased with it. My pleasure ended two days ago when my wife opened the dryer door and the cheap plastic handle broke. When I say cheap I'm referring to quality, not price. A new cheap plastic handle is costing me over $36.
This dryer takes double the time my old dryer did to dry. My electric bill has increased since getting the washer dryer set. They are definitely NOT efficient.
My dryer is only three years old and it stopped working yesterday. Several months ago, the door handle broke off. That was not a problem because I was able to attached a chain to open and close the door. Yesterday, the dryer stopped in the middle of the cycle. It works for several minutes, then stops. I only use the dryer at 30 minute intervals, three times a week. When it works, it is great, however, it is only three years old. Not sure it is worth fixing; I can get another one for about the same price.
Spent 1.5 hours of my life chasing my delivery that was delayed for 8 days without notice to me. I placed order on phone to insure accuracy. No recourse. No options. It's a delay, tough. Deal with it. Good Luck trying to cancel an order.
This dryer does a great job; however my complaint is, the lint does NOT stick to the lint trap. Even when I slowly remove the lint trap to clean it, there is no lint on it; it goes straight down the shoot and clogs up at the bottom where the outside vent is. I literally have to remove the vent cover and stick my arm inside, to scoop out the lint. I am very concerned about this and called Sears to have someone come out, since I'd only had it for 3 months when this issue was discovered. I am now fighting with whirlpool, on this being a faulty product; and disputing charges for the repair, that was not done. ***I am truly concerned about my house burning down because of this, and I won't ever purchase whirlpool again****
We've always owned Kenmore appliances for 32 years and yes, they do break down sometimes, but you get that with any appliance. This dryer is high quality and reasonably priced. We're still trying to figure out all the different cycles though. The only bad thing I can say is, about two days after we purchased this, I received an E-Mail stating this dryer was on sale $60.00 cheaper than we paid for it! Other than that, a good product.
I bought this in March. It no longer dries clothes. When I called they said it is under warranty, however I need to verify that the dryer vent going outside is clean before they send someone out. This is my 3rd home and I have never had to clean the duct venting outside. I will never buy another appliance from Sears again. I say this after I have purchased 2 sets of kitchen appliances - Refigerator, stove/oven and dishwasher, another washer and dryer and another refrigerator over the past 20 years. I will be purchasing from Lowe’s.
