We were not looking for anything super fancy. Just a basic fridge. However, the look is very modern and sleek. Purchased in white. Delivered 01/19 replacing a 10 year old fridge previously purchased from Sears in store. Although, we do not have a store any more, so I turned to online! This fridge is not only modern but super quite but again our old one was 10 years old. No coils on the back like the old kind, gets super cold super fast! We are totally pleased! Don't expect thrills - the blue light (LED) has a nice look. Not as bright as a traditional blue but looks modern. We are totally happy with this purchase. I felt like it was a step up b/c the basic fridge with handles online has wire shelves and this one was glass shelves. Wasn't sure about the handles but I am glad I choose this one!
I've had it for 4 months and I already have to have a service call placed. The freezer keeps defrosting everything. The service department was not very helpful so we will see how the service person is
I ordered this refrigerator on 7/5 received on 7/8 to stop working the next day. I called Sears for someone to come out and was told the next available appointment is not until 8/1. I get another email to inform my apt has been rescheduled until 8/7. This is really unacceptable. It is 90 degrees and have 2 children with no working fridge and I have to wait 3 weeks to have someone look at a brand new fridge. Not to mention the hour wait on the phone to be transferred to another representative for another hour to get no where. I want a new refrigerator or my money back.
After several months of observation I've determined this is a bad design. The fridge will intermittently freeze food in one shelf area just above the crisper bins...WARNING DO NOT BUY!!!
I placed an order for a refrigerator and it automatically assumed I wanted it delivered to my billing address. If I select cancel or reschedule my order, I'm only directed to the order page with no option to cancel, reschedule, or change a delivery address. Because your website is so cumbersome, I will cancel (via phone) and order the appliance from a different vendor. Now I understand why your company's sales are suffering.
My old fridge died so I purchased this one. The first delivery guys were awesome. They had extra work to do since the door change wasn't done at the warehouse like it was supposed to be, but they were very nice. Unfortunately the fridge didn't work. They sent out a repair guy who was also very nice, and said don't accept this item, it doesn't work. Scheduled a replacement. The guys who delivered it had no idea what they were doing. They brought up the new one (stairs) before taking the old one down, so 2 fridges in tight quarters. They didn't even bring the correct tools to do the job. They took the broken one down and left. They told there dispatcher they smelled gas and didn't feel safe. They said nothing to my friend who spent the day there waiting for this darn thing. So here he is, taking all the tape and Styrofoam off, and looks out the window, and they are gone. Two doors laying on the floor, not leveled and he is upset. He calls Sears and they say they will call back and have someone finish the job. Guess what? Never called back and I had to hire a local guy to put the doors on, and level it so I didn't waste hundreds of dollars in food. Plus, they put a huge gouge in the flooring!! Am I happy? NOT!!! Sears used to be reputable, I guess not no more!! Wish I could post a picture!! Aweful service!!
