Elegant simple fridge

Was a bit of a gamble - ordered this with picture only, no reviews, and they didn't have one at the local Sears to look at. We were looking for a simple fridge that doesn't have water supply or ice maker as those seem to always break. I'm a design architect, and couldn't be happier with the sleek no handle look. People assume it's some sort of "architect series" couple thousand dollar fridge, rather than something we got for $850. Highly recommended!

Very loud whining, squeaking and creaking noises

This fridge is not silent. Every few minutes it kicks on and makes a noise that you can hear the next room over. Not happy with this purchase.

so far, great

This fridge appears to be exactly the same as a Frigidaire model. So compare the prices. In my case the Kenmore was on sale for $90 less. I've spent a lot of time in Asia and seen lots of great and interesting refrigerators over there including this 4 door style which I thought looked very efficient. So I was very happy when I discovered this Frigidaire/Kenmore model with those same features at a very reasonable price. If you don't want or need built in ice and water your choices are somewhat limited. This particular model is a good bit smaller than my previous fridge which was 22 cu ft. However the organization is quite good. I love the two separate freezer compartments. If you are well-organized and arrange items in a logical way I would imagine you'll save a good bit of energy. The french door top compartment might have some compromises. For example there are not too many in-door shelves and the main shelves do not provide much of any adjustability. So it might take some adaptation to use the space. If you are used to putting lots of tall things in your refrigerator this might not be the best choice. I got a couple of wireless thermometers and the temperature appears relatively stable around the set temps. I am quite pleased so far.

some BIG design flaws but it's not all bad

PROs
This refrigerator is silent. There is virtually no sound.
CONs
The freezer design does NOT have room for frozen pizza.
Must open both doors to open drawers in refrig. OK for freezer.

Will update if something arises.
