so far i lov it

had this refrigerator for two days. wasnt sure if i chose the right one. its huge we didnt want the ice water in door takes to much space and i wanted a black one. its super quiet so much lighting in refrigerator it has wheels on all sides easy to move back and fourth. so much space i read some of the neg reviews, and checked kmart who sells same model they had beter reviews. then i checked the web for problems for this model. so it was selling for 1699. then went on sale for 1399. with my sears discount cc final price was 1100.. so worth it. its awesome in black the freezer glides open, the refrigerator is eye level to get stuff and the veg and fruit door has lights so you see exactly whats in the frig. we dont regret one bit. so far so good.

Find a different refrigerator or you'll be sorry.

I have the white model. I can not possibly figure out how the stainless model has so many good reviews and the white didn't, but now I know. The first one that was delivered made a very loud, obnoxious ticking noise. Sears replaced it and gave me another refrigerator. I've had this one for about 3 months and the freezer fan motor had to be replaced. The back of the freezer is still frosting up. The refrigerator can barely keep a temperature of 45 degrees and the parts needed to fix the problem are on back-order. Well, there must be an awful lot of refrigerators with the same problem I guess. And to top it off, I went to pull out one of my produce drawers and it cracked. This is a lot of problems for a refrigerator that took me 3 long years to save for.

Repaired under warranty


I bought this refrigerator in June 2017. It has always made some noises, but didn't pay much attention to them. I had the temperature in the refrigerator section on the coldest setting because it seemed warmer than it should be. A refrigerator thermometer confirmed that it was running warm. Fine, I set it at 33 degrees and fridge held steady at 38 degrees. 10 months later the fridge is warm with the high temp alarm going off, the freezer is fine. Customer service schedules an appointment two weeks out. Tech comes out, fan motor needs to be replaced. Orders part. Schedules new appointment two weeks out. Second tech comes out, wrong part was ordered. Appointment made two weeks out. Right part, tech installs. The refrigerator now runs perfect and true to temperature setting on the door.

Horrible purchase- Sears not helpful either


Got the fridge after going without one for almost 2 weeks due to our old one dying. Fridge was very loud but we were told that the model is just a louder model. Finally got fed up and had someone come out to look at it. He agreed that this was not normal and ordered parts to replace the compressor. A week and a half later, the compressor was fixed. Now, 2 weeks after that, woke up and the HI temp alarm was going off. Everything in the freezer was defrosted. Fridge seemed fine until 2 days later- that now also has a HI temp. We lost all food in our old fridge for obvious reasons but after paying this high of price for a BRAND NEW FRIDGE- this was not expected. Sears said they can "maybe" come look at it in about a week. Now that we have a date for someone to look at it, we know that they will be there between 8am and 5pm. Losing work hours and food over a brand new fridge is ridiculous and no one at Sears cares one bit. Nothing they can do and it's not affecting them. Although we are stuck with trying to fix the fridge due to the return policy, I would not recommend this fridge or going through Sears for anything.
