I returned this item because of it's low quality. The first thing I noticed was that the compressor when running was very loud. So loud I thought something was wrong. I went to Sears and turned on the floor model and it was the same. The second issue was the very low production of the ice maker. This item is actually a Fridgidaire with the Kenmore name on it. Either way everthing about this unit is low quality. The delivery crew will set it in place and plug it in, don't ask them to level the unit because they will make a half hearted attempt leaving the unit wobbly when you open the doors. They also leave a lot of the packing material on the unit. In my case a random piece of tape to conceal a dent that I found after they left.
It's a great refrigerator and the service that Sears provided throughout the entire purchase was outstanding!
I purchased this refrigerator 3 years ago and it completely went out. I had purchased a warranty and it took over 3 weeks to get a tech out. Of course he needed to order parts which are estimated for more than the refrigerator cost. Then we waited weeks for the parts, the motor arrived damaged. The morning they were to come out, they told us that the tech couldn't come; they could not reschedule because their system was down. I explained to them that the motor (which was in a flimsy box without any packaging protection) appears damaged and they told me they could not do anything because of an audit and I should call back the next day. I called back the next day only to be put on hold for hours and then a message comes on to say the system is down and it hangs up. Now I am 6 weeks without a refrigerator, I have kids and this is ridiculous. I got a call today saying they advised that they could come out in 2 weeks and I again explained that the part appeared damaged and my concern is that in two weeks the tech will say we have to order another part. They told me to call an escalation line. I called and again put on hold for hours. I called every 800 number I could find. I have been put on hold so may times. I have no refrigerator and no hope of a repair any time soon.
