Bought this in November and it worked really well for about 4 months. Went to heat up some food and it hummed, the light turned on, the carousel turned, but no microwaves. Kenmore has always been a name we depended on for quality, but this experience has really left us wondering how long our other Kenmore products will last.
I ordered this microwave online. I got an email saying it was ready for pickup. It was not at the store when I went to pick it up. No one can tell me why it wasn't delivered or when it will be delivered. Sears customer service can't answer that, they just keep telling me it's ready for pickup a week later. No one responds to my emails, they just send me the "someone will get back with you within 48 hrs" yet it has been a week. The chat function doesn't work. And for some reason I've gotten this review email for a product they can't deliver to me. Ridiculous! I will be cancelling this order and buying elsewhere.
The microwave oven arrived bashed in in one corner. Also the under-panel was twisted so that all 4 feet did not simultaneously contact the countertop. If this had been an Amazon purchase, Amazon would have immediately approved a return and provided prepaid return shipping, including pickup at my home. SEARS, however, required me to pay for return of their damaged product as well as the cost of insurance. Since the item was badly damaged, but the exterior carton was only moderately damaged, it seems to me that the microwave I received was a previously damaged one returned to SEARS, where an employee then just put it back on the shelf in a different box to send to someone else. I do not intend to buy anything more from SEARS unless they arrange to pick up the damaged microwave oven at my home at no cost to me and replace it---just as Amazon would have.
I bought this to replace my 800w Kenmore microwave. It is a little bigger and more powerful, and it works great! Very happy with my purchase!
