I've had this for four months now and love it. It's very quiet (till the ice tray dumps) and runs a lot less than my old one did. The LED light isn't the brightest out there, but I knew that before buying it. The ice makes very quickly and the temp seems to stay where I want it. There is a whole lot more room inside than I'm use to coming from a side-by-side. I got the black model and it has a textured finish that doesn't show fingerprints or any small dents you make. Have a blanket handy when they deliver it and force them to wrap it around before they even put it on the dolly, otherwise they will scratch and dent your new fridge before it's even plugged in.
There is nothing wrong with the refrigerator. It is Sears that is terrible. I have had trouble with them on appliance purchases in the past and hesitated about ordering from there again. I placed on order online for the refrigerator. I am a property manager for rental properties and this was for one of my rental properties. I ordered the fridge online and it was supposed to be delivered on 12/27. My tenants called me on 12/28 to let me know it had not been delivered. I even had confirmation emails letting me know that it was scheduled. Once I called in to inquire, I got an email saying it would be another 2 weeks before it could be delivered. One of the reasons I ordered this fridge was because of the availability date. I cannot have a tenant go weeks without a fridge. Whoever I spoke with on the phone with customer service told me to go to any Sears store and pick out a fridge they had in stock and they would deliver it that day a no additional cost even if the fridge cost more than the one ordered. I got her name and extension. When I went to the store, the manager said there was nothing he could do for me. He didn't understand why or how the customer service rep said that. There was no way to get back to her, even with her extension because of the way there system is set up. I had to cancel the online order and buy one from the store, which they delivered the next day. It then took Sears over a month to credit back the canceled order and several phone calls. It is no wonder they are going out of business
Received fridge did not work also delivery company damaged my front door. Still waiting on another fridge ordered in Oct. still don���t have one!! Sucks thru holidays without a fridge
In general terms the refrigerator is working ok. There are couple annoying points about this product. First, when you open the door the light is dim at best about 40% of the time. Second, the ice maker doesn't have an automatic shut off arm and the tray is not easy to get ice out of. Odd design which is not real functional for the users. Most FRUSTRATING is the fact that they delivered the refrigerator and it didn't come with the plugs to cover the open holes for the handle. We have called multiples and they have sent the wrong parts twice now. still not right and still open holes on my refrigerator.
Well the design of the fridge is wonderful (very functional and spacious). The Craftsmanship is horrible. There is literally construction materials (foam, cardboard, adhesive etc) sticking out of the seal on the top door seal where the seal and refrigerator door meet. Granted you can't see it when the door is closed but you definitely can while it's open and it looks horrible.
Interior lighting poor. Installation crew not very professional. Would have liked the door opening on the right side versus the left.
Limited on kitchen space this is the size I had to buy. Not having a Sears store near me I had to order online sight unseen...First refrigerator I���ve owned that does NOT have a light in the top freezer !
