Only gave it an extra star because it did heat up everything faster than our last one and was a decent size, but that's it.
Within the first couple of months (think about maybe 3), the number pad started acting up. Two of the numbers and the Stop button stopped working. It is possible to lock the number pad by holding down the stop button and originally thought we had locked it by accident, but it turned out that wasn't the case. We had tossed out the box by then, so we found ways around this issue and lived with it.
Now, not even a year and a half after first buying it, and we're trashing it. It was sparking on the inside, from maybe it was a rare one off thing to every second or third use, in a short amount of time. The metal plate inside, part of the microwave construction, just turned black from the sparking, and we were done. We only kept it as long as we did due to money being tight, but we'll just go without until we can get enough for its replacement. It's not worth the risk.
