Lots of Storage
This has all the bells and whistles and lower freezer drawer and it goes on sale often so ****** it if you see it around $1400. Plenty of room for a family of four.
Issues with the water/ice dispenser area and lighting. I purchased two of these units and installation was within a day of each other. One for a rental and one for my home. Nothing is perfect. There are always compromises and adjustments when you’re on a tight budget, but this appliance could be so much better. Exterior: Dispense water/ice tray area is too shallow to catch anything. We have wood floors and this is a problem for us or any family with any floor surface for potential slip and fall situation if water/ice is not wiped up. Water is cold and filter is good. Noticeable annoying hissing you can hear from another room when ice tray fills up to make cubes, but attractive small cubes look nice in a glass. Crushed has an extremely wide spray the width of dispense area and bounces off sides and shallow tray onto the floor, so glass must be held at the very top. Water dispense force will splatter drops out of a glass that it is not tall. Full control panel is not illuminated and black type over grey background difficult to see if not daytime or possibly night light on. Eventually, we’ll just memorize the placement of settings. Note: you must run a lot of water at first to address the drip you’ll get due to air in the line. Interior: Very poor lighting. Just a row across the front frame is good with an effective fade up to full lighting, but this leaves a darker area in back. The illusion is that a bulb went out. We’re new to the French door style, and I realize there is a slight learning curve to adjust to. The right door must be slightly ajar to release the left and after closing the left door, the right door must also be closed. Learning curve. I do like the option of the top left shelf folding up next to ice maker to accommodate tall bottles like milk, wine, etc. But, wish it were on the right side to avoid the extra door effort I just noted. Clear door plastic bins will show all spills/stains and material doesn’t seem to be as substantial as our previous Frigidaire side-by-side. White bottom trim to hide stains would address this issue and mirror the shelving trim. I would like more adjustable height options for door bins but can live with it. Installation note: Don’t rush to sign off. Install team did not level the unit. Now I have another service call. They did not present me with all of the extra tools that come with the unit. There is a taped plastic bag that contains the manual & wrenches, and two other items they initially did not give me. A 2.5mm Hex *********’ll need for doors etc., and a water filter plug they said was ‘in their truck’. They were ready to check me out and leave. Who thinks of this when you are focused on getting your food back in the refrige? Would I recommend? If you aren’t bothered by the issues I pointed out, then sure. My issue will be with the water/ice dispenser area.
SOOOO BAD. FRIDGE WAS NOT WORKING AND ALL OUR STUFF WENT TO WASTE. DEFINITELY A BAD REVIEW ON ALL THE SOCIAL MEDIA.
I should have read all the reviews. Ice maker ***** it makes a batch n shuts off for days. It’s frustrating, I already made a call to get it fix or exchanged and I got the run around.
