Grab n go feature is ok

The idea of the grab n go is nice but it has its draw backs. This fridge is big but because of the grab n go feature there are not many places to put condiments. i would have stuck with a regular French door fridge. Overall it's a nice fridge. Ice maker seems to jam from time to time do you have to open up the freezer and break up the ice. I am not crazy about ice and water thru the door but my family wanted it.

Have had issues.

|

We purchased in 11/2015. Had the frezzer mess up within months of purchase. It was replaced timley and seemed to work for about another couple of months . Having issues again. We shall see the outcome. Scheduled a service.Luckily I did purchase a warrant if not it would be very expensive. Also the ice maker just had to be replaced. So far three times we have had issues and it has been under 2 years of ownership. There are only two people in our household so it isn't like its gets alot of wear and tear. The ice maker doesnt make much ice at all. Wish I would have noticed that before purchase. I have to buy ice of I am going to have guests over.

Good for everything but in repair /maintenance time

|

I bought this Kenmore a year ago. I read good reviews and no so good but learned that you can believe everything you read This Kenmore is amazing its roomy , quiet everything you want in a new purchase. However after a year, last friday the ice maker went on the door. I called appointment 07/19 for repair No problem with the wait time its only the ice maker come Sunday the whole thing stopped working so all food warming up I called Monday morning 8am.. I was told July 19 is the closest date available REALLY that long of a wait. Disappointed in the service I was told a 300.00 reimbursement of food , Great but I rather Sears hire more technicians then a high 300.00 food voucher Other than that this Kenmore for a year I have owned it is great easy to clean. Beautiful. bright inside. .quiet. The wait time for repair is unacceptable

Returned

We purchased this fridge for the grab and go door, the compact ice maker and the overall look. Unfortunately, the grab and go door feels quite chincy and I can see it not lasting the life of the refrigerator. The compact ice maker is just that, compact. It doesn't seem to produce enough ice to keep up with our 3 person family and guests. Sears did allow us to exchange it (customer service over the phone were great!) and we decided to go with a Samsung.
