I like all the features that come with this oven, especially, when it takes less then 4 minutes to pr-heat oven. Haven't used self cleaning yet, the 2 regular burners work normally, The simmer burner is fantastic, the power burner is the greatest for boiling water in a hurry or any other liquids. the auto warmer is another great factor, I have used for holding dinner, while waiting for the family to all get home for dinner or keeping food warm. The warmer keeps the food at a perfect temp and does not dry out the food. I am a retired chef from restaurants and hotels, I would recommend this oven to anyone.
This range is beautiful and bakes well. The issue is the stovetop burners. When it was first hooked up, (propane) one of the burners would burn high on one side of the burner with an asymmetrical flame. Imagine cooking something on high on one side of the pot and medium-low on other. We had 4 repair men come out from Sears after many, many long phone calls begging for help. It was not repairable, so Sears finally replaced range and the new one also does it, just on a different burner. The private sub that Sears had hook up the stove said that it is just the way the stove is made and there is nothing we can do about it.
This item was purchased for a new construction home. We purchased the stove with an LP connector. From the start, the burners did not work properly. The LP company said that the regulators were bad because 2 out of the 4 of them would go from very high to very low with nothing in between. Sears came out and said that it was the LP companies adjustment, so he left new regulator kit for the LP company to replace. LP company replaced them and it still did the same thing. The stove temp fluctuated for the first couple of months also, but seemed to have adjusted after a couple of months worth of use. I would not recommend this store but would have probably upgraded to a better one. Very disappointed.
New features and capabilities over the 40 year old Kenmore the new stove replaced led to a bit of a learning curve. The burners are more powerful and the oven bigger which is great. Still learning the control panel! Love the way it looks!
Serious product problems. Two ranges in a row with a faulty ignition valve, causing delayed ignition (the loud "whump" sound) and the same sound when the valve shut down, as well as a bright orange oven flame that indicated it was producing carbon monoxide (a service tech told us that needed to be adjusted to a blue flame to be safe; the delivery guy, though, told me they all have orange flames). After several dropped calls, a 45 minute wait on hold, a failed attempt on Sears' part to fix it, and an offer from Sears of 185,000 points ($185) to just keep the defective range (and its safety issue), and, finally, a replacement unit that had the same problem (but louder "whumps"), we bailed out. We're getting our money back and going with Frigidaire, instead. Also, very poor service from Sears service both in their online sales and local devliery/repair operation.
Much more powerful than my old gas range. So far it has been a wonderful addition to my kitchen
