So far I like the range. My complaint is the stove didn't come with a broiler pan…What's with that? Everyone I know who buys a stove get the broiler pan included. After spending all this money on four applicances at Sears, I now have to go buy a broiler pan. This should be included…I was surprised it wasn't. I would of chose another model to have everything included…very disappointed with that.
I have kids. 10 year old kids. They aren't babies, but they do run around the house. THREE TIMES now, we had the gas go on with a slight touch. Our old kenmore stove (which we had for 10 year) you had to push the **** in and then turn it for the gas to be released. There is VERY VERY little safety catch on ours and you can turn the **** with no hesitation at all. Our gas was on for over three hours yesterday without us knowing. THIS IS NOT SAFE. This isn't the first time I've see this on a review of this stove before either (read the rest of the reviews) and I should have paid more attention before I purchased it. I figured "that would never happen to me", well I was wrong. Sears is being amazing in helping me get a new stove in my home and I would still strongly recommend any kenmore appliances, but this particular model should be purchased with caution.
We both this range a little over a year ago and two burners will no longer light without a match. Looks nice though.
Is what I use to say now 2 yrs later my stove broke anything with Kenmore only last a few years and then break in done wasting my money.
When our dishwasher died, we decided it was time to do a kitchen remodel which included replacing all of our appliances with stainless steel. I wanted to purchase a GE Profile since that is what we had but they all had convection ovens and I wasn't interested, the oven size is compromised by the fan in back. This range seemed to suit our needs but after I started using it, I missed my old range. The digital buttons for setting the time and temperature are just up and down arrows, you have to hold the button and wait for it to scroll through to the setting you want rather than just punching in the exact value. That is annoying. There is a light that indicates the oven is preheating but the readout only indicates what temperature was set, not the temperature that it has reached. It's nice to know when it is close if you want to pop something in quickly. The burner grates have an offset design so when you center a pot over what appears to be the center of grate, it is not centered over the burner itself. The burners also seem to run hotter. The drawer is cheaply made and does not pull in or out smoothly, it drags terribly. Our old range drawer glided so easily you could push it back in with your foot. The oven itself works fine, I have had no issues with that but the door itself heats up quite a bit. I had it open and, while leaning in to remove a roasting pan, my knee touched what would be the top edge of the door and I received a burn. That had never happened in the 20+ years of owning our previous range. This purchase was a step down from our old GE Profile.
Absolutely love this range. Went above my expectations! Looks & cooks delightfully!
