I just purchased the micro about a month ago. It has all the features that I look for plus much much more when shopping for an oven. I like the fact that I can controll the turntable, on/off depending on my backing, cooking and or reheating needs. The shelf to heat up two plates of food vrs just one is another great added feature. I WISH the controll lock could be traded for a feature that is actually usefull. It heats up food really fast. My most favorate feature is the 30 sec. + button, like my old oven that had a minute + button, just press it twice, ya get a min. I TOTALLY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THAT FEATURE. That min + button is the only button that I mainly use MOST of the time. You're in need of a micro, this oven is FOR YOU!!! You can't beat the price for all the great features that it has to offer...
Renovated my kitchen at the end of last year and I chose to go to sears for my appliance. Spent over $5K on a new stove, refrigerator, washer/dryer, and microwave. After 13 months, while microwaving tea, it caught on fire. I called sears to discuss options. They told me there was nothing they could do since the product was out of warranty. After reading these reviews and googling, I was able to see that MANY people have had issues with this model. I informed sears and there was still nothing they could do. Microwaves should not catch on fire! This model is completely unsafe. Do not purchase! PS-It's even more alarming that with all of the issues people have had, that they haven't decided to put out a recall or pull this product off of the shelf.
Very happy with it!
So this over the range microwave has no power after 6 years. Previous unit lasted 25 years. Kenmore offers poor quality, would Not buy any kenmore appliance again.
Began to blow a fuse at the breaker after the 1st 6-months. Thought it was our circuit breaker so I had it replaced, even changed the outlet. Know what I know now, I should have returned it. Now we’re past warranty, but it’s the fuses within the microwave itself that are triggering the breaker. Won’t power on longer than 3 seconds.
stop working after 2 years POS
