This is a great microwave oven...the price is great, it looks good & it has a lot of bells & whistles. If you don't have very large items the interior size is more than sufficient. Regular size casserole dishes will fit no problem!
I would have given this Zero Stars but that wasnt possible. I purchased this microwave along with a dishwasher and fridge, so quite a large purchase, in January 2013. 15 MONTHS later the microwave caught on fire (inside the microwave there is a fan - its not the vent fan, but a separate internal fan inside the microwave on the top - this caught on fire). To repair it woudl have cost more than to replace it, so we had to replace it. I would NOT recommend this microwave to anyone, as this one barely lasted a year. This was my first Kenmore microwave and will be my last. I am extremely disappointed. Also, I called the customer service line and there was nothing they were willing to do for me. I was extremely dissatisfied that customer service was not willing to repair or replace this, given that I purchased an entire kitchen of Kenmore appliances, and that the microwave was clearly defective lasting only 15 months. Buyer Beware!
I bought this 2 months ago and install myself... looks good, easy install and cooks perfectly fine. Goes with my other Kenmore appliances as well.
Although this microwave is quiet and cooks well (so far, 2 weeks old) the end-of-cycle alarm is annoying and obtrusive, as mentioned elsewhere. 3 long and loud beeps, repeating constantly. The only other option is to silence it completely. Sears engineers, please add an setup option for a single short beep! Also the keypad is definitely 'form over function', very hard to see the lettering, requires very hard press, and no embossing to guide you.
DOOR WAS ALWAYS HARD TO OPEN AND CLOSE, CHEAP MECHANISM
